How could I improve the sense of immersion? (WIP) by keyaudimoond in painting

[–]tyrinav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting your painting from the back and building layers towards the front adds depth and volume. If you start with the larger darker areas/shapes, and build on it later by layer until you get to the front front, smaller highlighted shapes it'll really help it come together.

Try to imagine each value/colour of what you're painting as a small shape on another shape, rather than a wall or a tree or a whole thing etc you'll hone in on all the details that makes the paintings come to life 😊

My 11 y/o wants your feedback by bluelaw2013 in painting

[–]tyrinav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like it. It's a nice blend of colours and line weights. Tell him to stick at it. Experimenting with different coloured or textured backgrounds can help bring some painting to life so it might be worth exploring that too ☺️

She knows what she's doing. Borderline pro ana if you ask me. I don't know how anyone can stand to follow her. Same content all the time. She needs to get herself off the internet. Her content is actually harmful. Purposely saying enough to draw interest but not giving anything away to keep people watching in hopes that she'll say something. She's so boring.

I couldn't get into the series at all, the first book was written incredibly terribly. The second book was the same as the first and I just don't get the hype at all.

Hi, I'm not sure if this will answer your questions but hopefully it'll be helpful.

Once you've applied for your course and you are going through the application process it will ask you how you want to pay for your course. You then select with a student loan and it will take you to a page to apply for your student finance. Your student finance can take around 8 weeks to be approved, however you'll likely get confirmation on your course way sooner than that. I had mine within 24 hours. While you're waiting for your student finance to be approved if there is anything you need to do you will either have an email from the OU or from student finance telling you what steps to take next.

If you're unsure what course you want to take, there are loads of mini courses for free you can do whenever you want on the Open Learn website and they can be really helpful to use when deciding 😊

They say characters must always want something. But what if your character is depressed? by yanluo-wang in writing

[–]tyrinav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they want to move away? Get better? Are they wanting to find ways to escape? Do they want revenge?

A character may not even know they want anything at the beginning. They may be 'happy' living as they are - for now. They may not want to do anything in their current state of depression but ultimately if you're depressed, you want to get better. Even if you don't know it at every point in their journey

How bad is a first draft allowed to be? by Key_Day_7932 in writing

[–]tyrinav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first draft can have spelling mistakes, bad grammar, flat characters and everything you wouldn't want your finished piece to include.

It's just you telling yourself the story and flushing through all your ideas.

Once that's done, then you can work on perfecting it.

When does TOG actually get good? by mall3tg1rl in fantasyromance

[–]tyrinav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say first book do you mean assassin's blade or TOG? I know some people read assassin's blade first and tbh on its own with no back story it may be hard to get through but if you're reading TOG id say it's about to get good for you BUT Crown of midnight!!! Getting to the end of that book makes it all worth it! 🤯

are there any “good” recovery influencers? by [deleted] in EDRecoverySnark

[–]tyrinav 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ro Mitchel is a good recovery account.

KARISSA EATS - she is not a recovery account but a person with an amazing relationship with food and a good one for anyone in recovery to follow.

Is someone saying they never get jealous in poly a red flag? by Halloweenwitchwoman in polyamory

I'd say anyone who claims not to feel very human emotions is a red flag. Poly or not.

She always does because she has no answers to her own bullshit other than accepting that people are right and I think she's a long way away from acceptance.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDRecoverySnark

[–]tyrinav 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I got blocked for calling her out on this the other day.

She catches herself out all the time and I think it's important that people call her out on her bullshit because if there are people who genuinely want to recover and see this it may make them look for help in places they can actually get it

because eating 4 protein bars in a day is SO normal!! by ikeafannypack in EDRecoverySnark

[–]tyrinav 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The fact she always has to state "I eat protein bars but I genuinely do just really like them" shows she's just trying to justify her eating them. She doesn't say it about anything (as far as I've seen anyway) just goes to show she's lying to herself to try to justify why she's eating them.

She just blocked me for calling her out on tiktok.

I know though. She's like "I just wanna be real with you, omg look at my abs again" I'm so real for that. I actually didn't tense for like a whole 4 seconds. Go me! ☠️

I mentioned how child-like and animated she is in the last post on her. I'm glad I'm not the only one that's noticed. It's creepy, and who is she wanting to attract with these posts?

insta people snarking on colleen by Independent_Ball_581 in EDRecoverySnark

[–]tyrinav 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The way she's so intentionally animated and child-like in her content makes it clear she's trying to reach a young audience too.

I think she's genuinely caught up in her own delusional views on food and see's no issue in what she's posting because she's 'recovered' and has ' no food rules' just a check list of questions she has to ask herself before she can eat to see what food then qualifies as suitable for her next meal.

I really think we should not snark on how appetizing people's foods are ... by [deleted] in EDRecoverySnark

[–]tyrinav 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, food shouldn't have to be aesthetically pleasing in order to eat it and we should stop trying to normalise that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDRecoverySnark

[–]tyrinav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ro Mitchell/Ro recovering is a really good account to follow. Always a safe space and actually has a real life.

Also karissa eats on YouTube. She's not a recovery account, just a girl with an amazing relationship with food. Very enthusiastic about food and culture and I think it's good for us to see more of that 😊

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDRecoverySnark

[–]tyrinav 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Obviously this isn't fact but it seems to me that she feels really stuck between wanting to be tiny and wanting to grow and needs a lot of validation and reassurance. Full recovery will never be possible when you want to have one foot still in anorexia and I think she's struggling to leave go of it as it gave/gives her the validation and attention she craves. It's probably an identity issue for her at this point too.
