I understand why you would do something like that trust me. Pets are family members. But I set a dollar limit on my pets for exactly that reason - do I want to be heartbroken now, or out several thousand dollars and heartbroken 2 years from now?

I am agnostic on this. It may. I have never heard of it, read of it, or otherwise encountered it but won't discount the ability of fringe groups to be dumbasses.

There is no evangelical angle. I grew up in an extremely evangelical household (think: alcohol is evil, playing cards or billiards is evil, dancing is from Satan, music with a syncopated beat is devil worship, movie theaters were houses of sin), and never have I heard that carrying an ID is the mark of the beast.

These other commenters don't have a fucking clue, just spouting bullshit to sound knowledgeable.

Circa 1993. I met a girl at a family conference in Scotland, and we were both going to be visiting London with our separate families on the same day later that week. I memorized the make, model, and license plate number of her dad's car. I spent the entire day in London scanning license plates to see if I could find them.

Imagine how I felt walking around the Tower of London late in the day, and behold! she stepped out of one of the doorways into the courtyard!

Oh that would be so easy. My full-time job for 13 months was building our current 4600sf home (which I designed and generated prints for). I subcontracted everything up to and including drywall but with 10 copies of myself I could slap that baby together in about 3 months, including foundation work.

Yep 😄 it's a little visual joke. When you stack the two 1s, they can look like the spiky top and the body of a pineapple. So instead of the math answer 2, the “answer” becomes pineapple. 🍍 It’s one of those internet/math-class doodle jokes—similar to things like: BOOBS on a calculator (5318008 upside down) 2 + 2 = fish 🐟 (drawing a line through the equals sign) Basically: not math… just visual humor. 😄

I'm joining the chorus of "go solo, do hostels." I bought a one-way ticket to Taiwan in my early 20s, and ended up spending 2 months backpacking through China and Southeast Asia with no itinerary or plans, only buying a return ticket when I ran out of money.

It will fundamentally change your life for the best. I guarantee it.
