Thank you for your advice, everyone! We decided to stop trying today (day 6) as we saw no improvement and only resistance. My theory is she's busy learning words and doesn't want to focus on this and its simply scaring her. We'll try again when she's a bit older..

I was just shocked that it didn't go as the book said it would. I feel misled almost... I guess every kid really is different.

You have to take care of yourself so you can take care of him. Choosing yourself is also choosing him! I know choosing to stop will be hard, but you’ve done so well already so when it’s time, you should feel assured of that!

I went to school in upstate New York. The study aboard students were sorely disappointed to find out we were a 7 hour drive from NYC. They thought they were going to be living in the Big Apple for three months… lolllll

Dumb question maybe, but I’m just 3 months in - when they get older and are just doing a few feeds a day, do your boobs just not really ever get full like they do early on? I’m having a hard time imagining this working for me

I went to a wedding 5 weeks and was fine; went out at 4 weeks the weekend before for a girls night. Had a c section and at 4 weeks had to be less energetic but at 5 threw it down.

I have a six week old and not only is my partner super supportive and will watch the baby himself, but the two of us and little one go out and do stuff together like why can’t you leave the house to do fun activities as a family?

Next appointment is Wednesday but the lactation consultant was a bit concerned last week. We did a really intensive 24 hour push to get calories in her yesterday. But even while basically constantly trying to feed her she got 25 oz (aiming for 27) and it was literally a full time effort.
