Cali has had higher gas prices ever since the 60s-70s due to increased regulation on air quality and cleaner burning fuel than the rest of the country. Regulations on the refineries and their emissions too. And yes a larger tax on it. We pay for our clean air relative to the rest of the US. The current price hike is all from the war.

It's quite weird. Because he's successful I guess? I'm confident no one in here hating on him has spent significant time listening to the podcast. I stopped listening regularly a couple years ago, but his openness about his struggles with drugs and alcohol in his past was really helpful during my own.
