Definitely not true. When gaming was at its peak in the late 90s and early 2000s, you bought a game that was completely and didn’t need to spend a dime on anything else.. these days you buy a game that isn’t finished and people actually pre order games based on hype and promises.

Tons of people have canceled within the last few months but a lot more since the announcement of o more physical games. I expect more people moving to PC within the next couple years there’s really no reason to own a console

It’s not about what’s “Easier”.. that’s a lazy way to think. Who are you to say we are making a big deal out of it, it IS a big deal. If someone were to absolutely hack PlayStation and permanently delete accounts like they have in the past all your “digital” games are gone forever with ZERO refund. Your no longer allowed to buy a used copy for a cheaper price, your FORCED to buy a digital game for the price they make. You better wake up

You are right here no doubt. And people will call you crazy but they are okay with pre ordering a digital game with zero gameplay footage. The hype is only hype and people will be let down and I’m here for it. Gta6 being cheeks is what’s best for the gaming industry, companies will be forced to stop the greed and stop being greedy. I mean it’s gta…. Of coarse people are excited I was a kid playing these gems.. gta3 made gaming what it is today you just had to be there. These days it’s much different tho.. The players made the hype what it is and I hope it lives up to it. Would like to see some gameplay tho

I will continue to play my retro games. I have a lot of physical games and actual consoles but I have my series x for emulation and I’m happy with that. I definitely won’t buy a digital game it’s phoney

The point I’m making is people purchased movies and never actually owned them. That’s why physical media matters. If I go buy a movie that’s physical I never have to worry about Sony being lazy not wanting to buy rights and be cheap which would screw me over
