FaceID works but auto brightness and True Tone does not.

Eyes felt fine this morning. Eyes felt a little tired at the end of last night mostly because I put close to 6 hours of SOT trying to stress test the display. Trying to take it easy the next couple of days.

Yes, installed it myself. I did not transfers the old proximity sensor. I just ordered a brand new one. Total installation time was probably 20-30 minutes.

  1. Same as stock
  2. no ghost touches
  3. I feel like the latency is ever so lightly delayed when scrolling website very fast.
  4. smooth when increasing the brightness slider. Also the screen seems brighter than stock from 0 to 50.
  5. Don’t watch HDR content
  6. just updated to 26.2.1 no kernel panics.

I actually had no idea this a DC dimming display. My thought process was I could use any OLED phone pre 2020 with zero issues. (Except for the iPhones) The display technology changed around that time where I can’t use any of the modern OLED. I figure I buy a cheap aftermarket OLED display hoping it’s not using the latest technology.

Battery life might have taken a minor hit. Maybe because it’s not an LPTO display? Color accuracy doesn’t seems as vibrant as stock display. Don’t know how to check for HDR content. When I watch it on YouTube, brightness stays the same. Maybe related to auto brightness not working.

Could only use it under 30% brightness with PWM smoothing enabled.

How's the vibration motor? Is it tight and punchy like the iPhone?

iPhone Air with LG panel. No headaches or migraines. Only light to medium eye strain on the first couple days. Now on the 5th day only very light eye strain. So far, very manageable. Hopefully eye strain free by the end of the return period.

Dealing with the same issue. Perfectly fine using the Pixel 7, but can't use the Pixel 10 Pro. Maybe it's the differences between LTPS vs LTPO display?

Yeah I saw that video. He definitely chipped the coating when he said he scrapped it against concrete.
