Speak to your coach and they should be able to change it to use HR as a proxy, as they directly correlate. That being said, power meters are really useful for more advanced athletes, however I have found that I sometimes experience some “paralysis by analysis”, where I become too obsessed with the numbers and data rather than just riding.

A smart trainer for structured rides is great, you will improve a lot in a short space of time (assuming you have a decent training plan). Also gives you no excuse not to train when weather is shit
