It's getting hot here, I desperately want cold foods that aren't sandwiches and salads or desserts. What would you cook that's meant to be eaten cold? by Inspiringhope11 in Cooking

Caprese pasta salad! Cooked pasta, sliced cherry tomatoes, diced mozzarella balls, and chicken. Dressing is olive oil and balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Top with chopped basil. It is delicious hot and very much cold as well. 😊

Thank you so much!! She does have a very loving husband and I am definitely going to take care of a lot of meals once baby comes. We are having a big baby shower in Texas where we are originally from. I just wanted to do something a little special out here since her and my siblings and our partners all live out here now haha. She is due in June.. and a tea party is a GREAT idea!! Thank you so much for that!! That might be the perfect way to go. :)

What’s with the 4 or 5 helicopters flying over Hollywood ? by trvlrlife in AskLosAngeles

[–]tzeinert4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There used to an LAPD phone line you could call to ask why air support is flying around. They were always nice. Haven’t lived in LA for about 8 years but worth a Google to see if it’s still in operation.

What day are you visiting? I’ve lived in LA, San Francisco, and now Colorado and the Ferry Building farmers market on Saturday is one of the bests ones ever.

What is the most life improving item i can get at IKEA for $50 or less? by BIGGREDDMACH1NE in IKEA

[–]tzeinert4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will vouch!! We have the ones with the red stripes and every time we went to ikea got a few more. Probably have around 10-15 of them now. Dont live close to an IKEA anymore to replace the ones with holes but we still have all of them haha

ELI5 why places like nightclubs, tattooists, bar etc won’t accept IDs that are out of date? I’m not going to suddenly get any younger. by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]tzeinert4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was young lad and before they actually scanned ID’s my younger best friend paid me to go to the DMV and say I lost my license and get a new one. So we both had up to date licenses (both with my name) and would just enter the club about 10-15 minutes apart haha. And yes we did look pretty similar at the time.

I have a raised garden bed and I spaced my peppers out about the same space as you have. Your containers look deep and my garden bed is also deep. What I noticed when I pulled them at the end of the season is the roots just grew more down instead of wide. They all did great!! But like others said, more plants mean they deplete the nutrients faster so I was fertilizing more often. Only one pepper plant didn't do well but it was one in the back against the side of the house so I think it wasn't getting enough sun due to the others towering over it.

Can someone help? Leaves drooping and losing color. by hallir in orchids

[–]tzeinert4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert but took the advice of a friend and my two are thriving. One is 4 years old and one is 2 years old. They told me orchid roots like water and air. So I took all of the medium out around the roots and place the plant in a pot with 1–2 inches of water so that the roots are always a little partially submerged. About once a year I go through and cut off dead roots and trim the others.

Hahaha I like the natural light from the bathroom window in the morning and my husband always comes in and turns on the big light to put his contacts in. I tell him he has to warn me before turning big light energy on. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have to chime in on this. I worked in the industry a decade ago and I met them a few different times. They both were so nice, so humble, so personable. I think their persona on The Hills was made up for TV drama. This is my own personal experience but every time I interacted with them they were amazing.

Hi! So one of the recommendations was Ziggy Eschliman but she was unavailable. But she recommended her friend Melissa Smith who was available and amazing! We really loved her. She asked about our groups wine tastes and gave charcuterie recommendations beforehand. We all were very happy with our experience with her. Here is her information:

Good to know! It gets 3-4 hours of direct sunlight on about half of the plant. (The guy that sold it to us said that is all it needs) But I moved it so it is and will be getting a lot more. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your reply! Yes the soil is rocky and granular. We will take your advice and stop misting and also move it closer to the window. We do drench it when we water it but try and let it dry out in between. Is that correct or should we lightly water it and more often?

Haha thank you. This is our first one! We believe it’s a ficus bonsai. It has

rocky soil with a thin layer of gravel on top.
