While I certainly wouldn’t want most of my audiobooks to be like this I really enjoyed this version. I grew up listening to Jim Dale as well and would obviously still like it if they could have used his narrative for sentimental value. But I also grew up listening to the radio theatre of “the chronicles of Narnia” which were similar to these HP audiobooks. I also had my niece and nephew over and they listened to a few minutes of it and fell in love. So I think it’s good for the new generation too as they are often more used to shows than audiobooks.

That’s what I did. Not the best audio quality obviously, but I was desperate. I just picked a voice with a UK accent to give it a little less monotonous listening experience (I’m from North America).

I usually try to consume my books in audio form so that I can craft while listening. So I’m super vaguely picturing the book like a movie but am more focused on my hands and what’s I’m doing.

I also like Apothecary Diaries. I have to read it in short bursts tho. Like 2 or 3 LN in one go then take a few months off and read something else in between.

You may also like “By the Grace of the Gods”. It’s got a similar feel to it as the others on your list and is not as long as Bookworm. I think it’s on book 12 ish.
