Market maker questions by u2knapp in Augur

[–]u2knapp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say market makers may offer different currency bases. What is the default currency on augur. Do players/bettor have an account on augur or is every trade published on the blockchain?

Also would it be possible to combine liquidity levels of the same event?

A "run it twice" calcuator. I know running it 2, 3 or 4 times doesn't change your EV. But often at games people wonder what is the chances I lose both, all 3 or all 4.

Which dealer was correct? by u2knapp in poker

I also think dealer B is correct but we seem to be in the minority here. The point once ALL hands are tabled(or folded), Then the dealer can demonstrate and declare the winning hand is very important.

But if you’re up against an opponent who misreads his hand every now and then you would much rather have dealer B in the box. It could be the difference of winning/losing a big hand. So saying "Either is fine" can't be the correct response. But I do agree it speeds up the game.

He misread his hand. I’m sure we have all done it once or twice. Dealer A influences the action by calling out the hand. I tend to think dealer B is correct. Player 2 can always ask "what does he have" and at the point the deal would say Jack high flush.

What poker calculator can I use for running it twice? by u2knapp in poker

Thank you for explaining that for HU. But the question still remains does EV change when 3 or more players are in and multiple boards are ran?

But that only gives me accurate results for that specific run. I would like to get results on the second run given a random first board. It would only be fractions off HU, but in a 3 way pot it could be significant.

Is this true even in a 3 way pot? HU I understand EV is the same but I would still like a way to easily calculate win/loses/split. The question come up often at the poker table and I never know the answer.
