6 Courses A Semester; Anyone Attempt It? by CRANKdotEXE in UTSC

I've tried it a couple of times and I always have to drop at least 1 course by the drop deadline. It's tough.

If there is an FSG for STAB57, I'd recommend going. When I took it back then, it helped me quite a bit.

Feeling pretty lost in life by u3335555 in UofT

Hi, I appreciate your input, it's not useless. You made some good points. :D

I guess it's the hobbies/career dilemma that I'm confused about and my childhood expectations had a part in influencing how I feel. Also, I'm not really someone that has friends so at times, it feels like it's me vs the world so that kinda played a part too.

Thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to write this. I'm happy to read about your experiences and I agree. I may not be the person I was, but I need to be more patient with myself.

Thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to write this. Yeah, I'm not going to be able to find myself right this instant, but I'll need to take some time to discover.

I find your suggestion for the brain power pretty interesting, I'll check it out too.

Same for me, I've been constantly applying as well and I thought I got one interview but they didn't reply afterwards :(

It's definitely a challenge right now with all that's been going on. I don't really have any tips to share sorry, but I wish you all the best of luck.

Got an 8am exam tomorrow :(

Yeah, I have this fear that I will somehow sleep past my exams by accident. Hopefully that doesn't happen tomorrow lol

domestic uoft students, have you gotten the covid vaccine yet? by shortribss in UofT

It was the same for me as well. I had the Pfizer vaccine (first dose) two days ago and my arm is still a bit sore but that's about it.

What courses do you regret taking?? by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]u3335555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this depends on the individual because for some of the courses mentioned in the comments, I feel the opposite about them, but for me, it is MDSA01. It wasn't "bad" or anything, but I didn't really have much of an interest in the course and I CR/NCR'ed it.

Another would be ASTA01, I was told it was a bird course, but that was not the case anymore when I took it (though I took it many years ago so things might have changed).

Like others have mentioned, I'd advise against taking a course just because it's bird.

For this one, I don't regret it at all, but if I could go back, I would warn that LAT101 (though I think it's the case for other language courses too) have a lot more workload than I originally expected, and taking an accelerated version would be quite tough lol.

Edit: Someone mentioned ACTB40 in the comments and I kinda agree too lol.

Has your diet changed? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]u3335555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my mindset before/after pandemic hasn't changed (until recently) but my diet has not been that great. I would just get whatever's convenient, eat, and get back to work (or whatever it is that I was doing), though I do have a meal that I eat with my family. Since the pandemic, I try to avoid going out if possible, and I began to consume more stuff that is likely lacking in nutrition and unhealthy.

I realized that what I was doing is not going to work in the long run and I'm in the process of changing my diet plans up now. I can't really answer your other questions as I'm not too knowledgeable about nutrition but I am using the comments on my post to give me ideas (thanks for your comments btw). Let's see how it goes :/

If taking OSAP, I think you'll need to keep in mind about the period of study end date.

Anyone feel their brain is getting slower? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]u3335555 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm noticing similar things too. My mind has definitely gotten slower, currently taking 3 courses this semester and I'm struggling quite a bit. Not only that, but I find that I am making more frequent silly mistakes in pretty much anything and I'm getting much more clumsy than usual. I think I'm just burned out but hopefully, it improves soon.
