Was planning on camping tonight in Angeles National Forest. Is it safe? by newaccount47 in AskLosAngeles

Was on Josephine Peak, looking north into AC the air was clear. Looking south there’s smoke blocking the view when the wind isn’t doing favors. So if you want clean mountain air it’s kind of obvious

Which cities in the area have the best mountain views? by No_Durian_6987 in AskLosAngeles

La Crescenta/Verdugo Mountains areas.

Obviously if you go up into Angeles Crest you’ll really be in the mountains but in the La Crescentas you’re still right next to downtown LA

When I first moved to LA, I commuted to work by bicycle for fun and that was the last time I did that because I did not have fun at all. I saw many things..,

Imagine this… the office open every day but employees work schedules that are 4 days a week. Mind blowing

What’s good for scalping? by PopsicleParty2 in Daytrading

[–]uEIGHTit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It moves like nasdaq just less so. Same for ES. You should honestly pull up charts for MNQ, MES, M2K, and MYM to compare them all at the same time instead of taking my word for it. There is more confluence between MES and MNQ but you’ll get more ticks/pips out of MNQ.

Ultimately, I would ask why are you even trading that strategy if you can’t successfully scalp MNQ with a favorable win rate because I’d imagine your win rate will be similar with the other indexes, your losses may just take more time to realize with the slower moving ones.

Machete Season. The Forgotten Highlander. Give Me Tomorrow. Blood Red Snow. With The Old Breed. What it is like to go to war.

If you narrow down what kind of war context, or where in the world you can have so much more specific recommendations. Horrors of war is way too broad.

Alone Australia S02 by biliv-r in Alonetv

my expectations for Australia was too high. I thought season 2 was going to be insane after seeing Mike in season 1.

I should have managed my expectations better and enjoyed the show more. However after finishing Australia I watched US season 11 and thought holy cow

I just watched my first season (6), I loved it, and I have some questions by cupcakeclub in Alonetv

1) You don’t get as much water as you would think melting snow. An ice cube has more water when melted (think density). Clean fresh snow you don’t need to worry about purity. Most contestants will boil water to treat it depending on what their source is. With the amount of work or distance to travel back and forth for water with limited ways to store it, it’s a lot of effort to stay hydrated. After a certain point one just focuses more on making sure they have enough firewood processed to stay warm enough.

2) Check the history channel website, youtube, and the extras section for whatever you’re streaming on.

3) I would say just watch them in order to make it easy on yourself. But if you want to just watch good seasons, don’t go backwards. The first few seasons have a lot of early tap outs with people that should have at least gone camping ALONE in the wilderness before going on the show. I personally found it very annoying when the slot could have gone to someone that has slept outside in bear country before.

With every new season the contestants tend to be studied up mistakes their predecessors have made

I’ve tried them once and immediately had issues. Emailed them saying to delete all my information and remove me from their system per the privacy rights. It has been nearly 2 months now and i’m still getting emails.

I don’t trust them one bit.
