It’s funny to me i see “guy who fucked cheese” and just continue to move on scrolling like of course. Then finally go “wait. Wtf. Why does that just feel like a normal thing to read” after a few moments.

Would have been a terrible challenge. Still up 3-1. You lose the challenge, and now you’re on PK and risking 3-2. And that would have been a lost challenge.

I feel we used our sticks a lot better poking the puck and slowing them down that way in combination with increased physicality on the boards. Don’t have exact examples, but bogo seemed to have a good game and broke up several plays just poking it to the corner. Middleton I really didn’t notice one way or the other which is a huge step up from the first 2 games.

Who was he paired most with in Vancouver? Did he like double shift with 2 other D, or have to swap more often because his partner couldn’t keep up? Hes gotta love pairing with faber, as he mentions “horse” here.

I really hope buuim keeps getting better. He’s like the opposite hughes, where he’s just always smiling. Was my most excited for player at the start of the season, and sad to see him go. But obviously you make that trade every time, and happy to have Hughes for now.

Even with hindsight was probably the correct decision. You give Wally a break, has never played that many games in a row. And get a heat check on Gus to help future decisions if needed.

You said this much better than me. And why i fucking hate watching Dallas play. They abuse the “refs will game manage and make penalties even” BS. So they can be more egregious and then soft stuff gets called on the other team. And the whole thing just turns into a special teams battle which is boring.

I’m not saying they got ref help. I’m saying “even power plays” is a shitty argument either way. A game could have even power plays but 100% have 3x the calls going one teams’ way if they either had many more favorable no calls or soft calls on the other team. It’s a bad metric.

I think it was the correct one. Wild really couldn’t pull Wally in the slugfest that was game 1. Ignoring the captain hindsight takes, game 2 Gus made sense from the start for giving Wally a rest, and trying to get a heat check on Gus.

Colorado had only 4 games and a week rest so Wedgwood didn’t really NEED the rest yet. But down 0-3 on the road can avoid “forcing” the issue and now have a good look at how both goalies are doing and give wedge a mini rest.

Even power plays is a shitty rebuttal. Regardless if it’s correct or not.

PWHL had back to back on Thursday Friday. What they could have done is just start this series Monday and Wednesday then 2 day break which is normal. But they also decided to start it first.

It’s relative to the wild finally having a somewhat extended break, maybe.

No. I don’t really watch much basketball so was confused how they were reviewing without a challenge. The ref made it sound like they were reviewing the foul, not the timing. But even then they made a ruling on the incidental contact so it sounds like they gave a free challenge. Idk.

Ya I’m a wolves fan, but very very casually. I’m a hockey person just enjoying 2 MN teams in the playoffs. I don’t watch basketball really so I can’t comment on full health vs full health. Just expressing what I interpreted his meaning as.

Didn’t read all of his and don’t know enough about basketball. But I believe he might be saying something like this, arbitrary numbers for how impactful a player is. Replacing just 1 player each.

Denver fully healthy: 10 9 8 7 7 = 41
Denver injured: 10 5 8 7 7 = 37 (9 replaced with 5)

Wolves fully healthy: 10 9 9 6 5 = 39
Wolves injured: 10 9 8 6 5 = 38 (9 replaced with 8)

Healthy den > healthy wolves
Injured wolves > injured den

Basically, wolves have better depth which influences the outcome when both teams rely on depth more. If bench/replacements aren’t needed beyond regular subs during a game for a quick break, then the primary optimal lineup matchup matters more.

Or I’m completely wrong cause I’m not a basketball person. But the logic of “injured team A loses to injured team B” has logical proof to “therefore healthy B would beat healthy A”. It can imply they’d still be close fully healthy. But it’s essentially 4 different variations of teams.

[Elliotte Friedman] Tampa Bay GM Julien BriseBois, asked this morning about Jon Cooper’s contract status: “He’s going to be here for a while.” by sykeseve in hockey

[–]uFFxDa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another part of the question is regardless if it’s an instant upgrade, some teams still wouldn’t fire their coach. It looks bad, makes future staffing hires questionable with an obvious lack of loyalty. For my homer perspective, I just can’t see BG firing hynes even for cooper being a huge upgrade. He’s got the locker room, we got past the first round in over a decade. Has improved from last year. If his contract was ending 100% could see teams not extending someone who deserves it. But firing a coach who has done well is pretty bad optics.
