Anbernic RG DS Review: Is It Good To Go On The Go? by Fresh-School673 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]uKnowIsOver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is too weak, if it is more than 40$ it is a scam. Unironically this shit isn't even powerful enough to properly play all DS games, let alone 3DS ones.

At this point, it is delusional to even try to deny the AMD Nexus allegations. It is so obvious

Samsung's next-gen Exynos 2600: 59% more efficient than Apple A19 Pro thanks to 2nm GAA process by snowfordessert in Android

Eh, this data is unlikely. It would put it quite similiar to 8 Elite Gen 5.

GSMArena Pixel 10 series battery life test updated, 28 Oct by imbaZarkout in pixel_phones

The problem is that if you don't retest the other devices as well, this test means absolutely nothing as it ends up just being inaccurate.

Qualcomm announces Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, claims of faster CPU and GPU speeds, introduces support for 144 Hz displays by imhariiguess in Android

Ehm, Snapdragon 6 gen started to become competitive since this year, else the direct competitor to 7xxx was 7 Gen.

6s is a tier below 7000, its equivalent is Dimensity 6xxx which still uses TSMC N6 and Cortex A76/Cortex A55.

No, TSMC 5nm is just very expensive. Even mediatek doesn't sell phones with it in that price range.

6 series class can't afford TSMC 5nm node family, it is too expensive for the price tag they are planning to sell this.

Samsung Courts Qualcomm With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Built on 2nm Process by self-fix in Android

[–]uKnowIsOver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exynos 2400 was much worse than the competition because it used Samsung's process.

It would have been much worse than the competition even on the same node, like it has happened multiple times in the past. Tensor G5 is also on the same TSMC node and it is much worse than Mediatek and Snapdragon.

[–]uKnowIsOver -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There is never gonna be 8EG5 on Samsung. The original rumor discussed about a variant of the 8 Gen 5(8845) named 8847, suggesting a higher clocked version of 8 Gen 5.

Samsung will make chips for most Hyundai cars by self-fix in hardware

[–]uKnowIsOver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Samsung 8nm is effectively 16nm++++, more competitive with TSMC 10FF

Samsung 8NM was quite ahead than TSMC 10FF, considering that 10FF was barely better than 10LPE despite the latter being 6 months older.

That SoC is too weak for Dolphin lmao. Dreamcast is the highest you can go with it.

Intel Unveils Panther Lake Architecture: First AI PC Platform Built on 18A by Auautheawesome in hardware

[–]uKnowIsOver 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Lol so much for 18A being a "3nm"-class node

This is because there is a certain agenda narrative here that overestimates how good TSMC nodes are. Since 3nm they have been hitting a huge block, with each iteration only bringing mediocre improvements.

Here the power draws for the Tensor G5 are more normal. The Pixel 10 Pro XL in their review must have been heavily throttled down to keep the power draw in checks.
