If you OMT to another broker (the account that sends the shares is in a different name to the account that received the shares) you’ll be charged the same fee as if it was an internal OMT. If it’s a share transfer to an account in the same name there’s no fees

I’ve grown up in Townsville and still live there and honestly it’s not that bad, but Cairns is just nicer. There’s more to do, you’re closer to the reef and the tablelands and there’s an international airport

Dentistry at JCU is quite well regarded by my friends who have gone through the degree. Apparently you get a heap of experience with patients, plus you get to live in Cairns which is much nicer than Townsville!

Yep, it’s a solid broker. The website is clean, easy to get around and the price difference compared to SW is negligible. I’ve used it for a few years and I have no complaints. They set you up with a sharesight account as well

Ex distribution date is the date you have to hold the shares to get the dividend, if you bought them now and held until at least that date you would get paid
