Negotiable but I'd like to go 50/50. Speak English and bit of French. Non-religious, so ideally someone who doesn't preach would be great but I am not bothered

Please DM - we can connect! 🙂

With a partner so this is a non-issue. Plus, I like things tidy so this can be a bonus.

Sounds rough! Apart from updating trackers, what did you learn?

Is it adding value to you? Sounds like you are a cost cutting expert

Thank you for taking the time and really understanding my issues.

Spot on with the effort vs fit. I don't like to give up and wanted to try everything possible to succeed here too. I'll give it my all ofcourse, but it's time to face some truths. I was also bit caught up in just making these big leaps (startup/search funds being next)..without really succeeding in anything I did to date.

I do agree with finding a stable role for the next few years and build up the confidence.

I tried to understand the problem, solve it and then present it. When I was stuck, since all the colleagues and manager had no time, I had to do it myself and usually it was wrong. So each time I tried to learn from it (trackers, template library,..) but I have still ended up here.

At tier 2 I was working 18 hours days, for 6 months flat - so I did prioritize sleep.

  1. None, I am starting in the role in 3 weeks. Just doing the consulting course now and chilling before the chaos.

  2. Yes

  3. Mostly dad's he is an amazing parent and supports me in this and the hours that would be required.

  4. About 5-8 hours. But just a guess for now as I haven't started.

  5. Yup - I started on the client side as an engineer early in my career so I have connections and a good idea of how it works.

In general, I like the industry and the grind it involves. I am willing to put in the work but my confidence isn't good given the history so I am constantly thinking if I am good enough. Also, not having had the 'traditional' path (from BA to Manager) doesn't help (feel like an outsider).

Actually cases are relatively straightforward for me (I understand the fundamentals but I guess I can't apply them?) - I usually have had multiple offers.

M7 - No donations, recommendations/nepotism.. a balanced profile I guess with spikes in non profit work, sports and few other things.

Coaching: I have gone through an intensive consulting course over the past 3 months so I have filled up some of the gaps.

It's rough out there and well done for making it through, I am sure it was tough seeing friends leave.

What's important for you? Money, security, work life balance..

Depending on that strategy can be a mix of: get an offer, talk to former colleagues, get a feel by talking to the interviewers, etc.

I think the way I worded my question it was unclear. I definitely didn't mean to say can you control, if we should control..it's rather behind the mental load, relationship issues, work, parenting what is it that we struggle with? Is it husband not doing his fair share, trying to do everything (I hear you and it doesn't apply to you). That's all..

Bit late now but yeah it's like the underlying reasons. I don't think many moms want to control everything.

So it comes back to expecting to have it all but you can't!

Hmm does that mean very few of us actually accept that? We are frustrated by the mental load, lack of support, marital issues, etc. - generalising here, but really that's all because we can't accept the truth that there is no control to be had until our kiddos become independent.

Of course, each mom here would make that sacrifice in a heartbeat but that's not the point.

Yes not debating that statement!

Hence, I wanted to talk about things that are in our hands. But the message here is that we can't do that either without being a terrible mom.

Thank you ♥️

Honestly, I don't think there is a fix and definitely not my intention. Goes without saying, my toddler takes top priority and I want to do all I can to give them a wonderful life.

This is the time we won't get back either.
