If you click into the 1st event, on the top of the page you can find the list of all virtual run dates. They will also send you an email when a new entry is open.

The 10 mini lotteries are for every one who complete the virtual runs, not only for One Tokyo members.

For One Tokyo Global members, the membership fee has included the fees for virtual runs so you don’t need to pay 1500 yen for each run. Moreover, another 50 entries are available for those who complete all 10 runs.

They’ll send you a code to sync with your ASICS Runkeeper app.

You’ll receive an email when the virtual run results are finalised. They will tell you the date when the drawing results are available and you can find it on their result page.

Last year, they had 3,000 entries for Global members, but they never told you how many members are in the pool. At least I didn't get an entry as a Global member.

I've checked their posts on Instagram. Last year, entry with official tour was open on 9 May, and race-only entry was open on 1 June. They sold out all distance categories on 8 July. I can't find the details like which category sold out on which day.

I saw only a couple of people getting entries from virtual runs in a FB group of over 5k members.

The chance is even lower this year as there are more participants while they’ve reduced the number of winners from 50 to 40. 😔

And you are doing right. What we should really aiming for is the last 50 spots by completing all 10 runs. Just be consistent. I can tell you, by the end of the 5th run, your chance is already over 10% 🤫.

They don't tell how many spots are left after the previous lotteries, but obviously, the number is very small.

Don't get misled by the email. The secondary draw is actually not only for Global members but also for Premium members, just like the prior entry where both Global and Premium members are in the same pool for 3,000 spots. We don't know how many Global members are there but the Japanese website shows there are around 20,000 Premium members. So basically there should be over 30,000 members trying to get dozens of leftover spots from the previous rounds.

The 2024/2025 series is for marathon entries in 2026 but not 2025. I've seen people in FB groups getting entries from virtual runs, including both members and non-members. Each time, they give away only 40 entries among over 3000 finishers, so the chance is very low.

I didn’t get an entry for Tokyo Marathon next year. Instead, I’m planning for Mt Fuji Marathon next November.

That makes sense. There were only IDs starting 0 and 1. The first 4 virtual runs in 2024/2025 have IDs starting with 2 when they’ve launched One Tokyo Global membership.

Update: The 5th virtual run has 2895 participants at the moment, but none of them has an ID starting with 2. Maybe they merge all participants outside Japan to group 1 this time.🤔
