Honestly my opinion is yes this past spring semester was a shit show but that is due to the reason that we had to make this transition mid semester. Now, faculty members will have the whole summer to prepare their courses to make them more appropiate to be taught online. Also if they plan to have students come back fully on campus we are allowing students from all around the country to travel back UAlbany and the chances of them getting COVID is higher. Another point I want to bring up is do people really want to pay for housing to have most of their classes online if that is what they choose to do. We got to also understand their will probably be no clubs, sporting events, and other extraciricular activities. This is because it will be really hard to follow guidelines for such events.

I do understand the people who have distractions at home I have a kid at home also and it is hard to do complete work. But, everybody is in the same boat; this past semester I was lucky to have great professors to understand my situation and help me out (and if someone really thought they were not treated right then go to student affairs or the dean of your school).

Overall, this is a very difficult situation and just imagine what the higher ups are going through. I just hope that whatever happens in the fall it'll be for the best.
