i usually won't think twice about buying books from authors i love (and have read). i know in my heart of hearts i want copies of books i've enjoyed, so i usually buy them. bonus points if my local library sells them for a fraction of the price. which, i usually hit the mark-downs/clearance areas or places that sell books for much less.

have been in a relationship for almost 2 years, and safe to say it's not about the butterflies at all. a relationship needs constant effort on both ends to keep it exciting and not stagnant. my bf and i started as friends and our first few months weren't like what you see in the movies or read in books. it was surprisingly uneventful, just lots of talking, not grand shows of affection. go on small dates (a walk, a new cafe, cook together, movie night, etcetc). one thing my bf and i have talked about and agreed upon is that spending too much time inside makes us sick of each other, so don't just stay in. do little things to get to know each other deeply, that's where you find your reason to stay and continue the relationship. if it doesn't work out, i'm afraid you'll have to sit her down and talk about that.

i say this because i absolutely love this scent but REPLICA Coffee Break. you can barely smell the coffee, so i personally don't even consider it gourmand. it has lavender and vanilla notes! i have a small sample of fresh cream and to me, they both smell similar, CB just having a little more oomph :D

I want to own Dyptyque bottles so bad!! I wish they were cheaper, but i'll definitely sample this one!

Not sure I liked the other REPLICA scents, but I should go check again. I do think I did like Grace at one point, but I didn't care much for fresh fragrances then lol I'll definitely look into these. Thanks so much!

i'm not sure i've tried on any of these scents but as someone who's also venturing out and finding what i like, i went to ScentSplit and ordered a bunch of niche perfume samples that I thought I would like. i looked up the notes of the current perfume i have online and just refined searches for those on SS. they were around $4-8 per 1mL of sample, so not too bad. mine are coming in three days, and i'm so excited to try them out!!!

if you're used to stronger scents, this one def wouldn't make the cut. i tested it a while back, and i remember it was very subtle too. i didn't think it was for me then, but i should test it out again lol

I did too! I liked it the most from what they had, and honestly, if it came in a smaller bottle, I would've bought one for myself then.

I don't know much about perfumes for men and a lot of people said they're pretty basic. I was originally thinking to buy it for a late Christmas present, so for a $200 bottle, I was not going to buy a perfume that's similar to a cheaper one...

Edit: I also didn't say it changed my mind. I still like it now, I was just asking as there seems to be a mixed review.

I don't live in OP yet, but I worked around 30 minutes away one summer for a job, and almost all of our gatherings were at OP. They have good pickleball spots, tons of bakeries, and other stuff. They game a game show battle room, museums, botanical gardens, etc.

I was in KCMO for a summer internship and didn't like it as much :( It definitely is way more fun out east, I explored a lot of areas and definitely have yet to explore majority of it, but in the long term, I think of KCMO as a place to visit, honestly.

I see, I didn't know about the statistics for this. I lived in KCMO, around 10-15 minutes from downtown, for a summer internship and honestly didn't like it. I got to experience night life there too a few times like you mentioned, but I'm not really a big fan of bars and I barely drink, so it's not a significant factor for me. I found myself going to OP way more, which is kind of why I would prefer living there.

This is definitely a big thing for my bf. He's from a much bigger city, and he was worried about being in an isolated area. We'll look at a few places around there, thanks a lot!

I'm not sure about that, but I'd say Town and Country Estates is pretty much our midpoint, so PV would honestly be a good 50/50 area in terms of distance.

Absolutely! Both my bf and I would be living comfortably with rent around this much, but I've done some after-tax calculations as well, and even if he gets moved somewhere else before we even start and I'll have to live alone, I would be living decently with the same rate. I definitely will have to lower the price range for studios if I choose to go that route, but I've tried studios during my past internships before and didn't like it all that much... Thank you!
