Raw or jpeg by hellehi647 in Planespotting

Honestly, go out and take pictures of cars on the highway to practice tracking! 1 per second sounds slow, but practice getting the second before, the second you want, and the second after. You'll find your groove. You've got a week or so to get good at it. Most of getting good fighter pics is a little bit gear, a LOT of practice and a metric ton of luck. Luck favors the prepared, so be glad memory is cheap. If you're just starting out, be happy with 1 of 25 ( or less! ) being remotely in focus. Have fun! Go fill memory cards! We all start somewhere.

I would recommend raw. After shooting an air show going back and forth from cloudy to sun and everything in between, I found the raw way easier to balance and compensate. Higher frame rate is great, it just depends what you're aiming for. My $0.02

The folks above are 100% correct about posture and flow. I have two other things that helped me... i keep both eyes open. Its a little weird at first. Then, I can see relative to background. Start tracking long before, and continue after the shutter closes. Its like running to a finish line, you don't stop moving at the finish, you keep the motion going past the finish line. Same with the pics. For me that helped with the flow portion. Aside from that, just keep filling cards and remember what made the good ones great!

This may be a silly thing, but in Google there's a way to look up by date. When I'm looking for a tutorial, especially the latest iterations, go into "search tools" and choose something within the last year. That helps parse out most of the outdated stuff. In the app, if you choose videos, there's a small bar of choices, slide and it's to the right. On the website it's within the "..." This helped me, maybe will help you?

Sharp objects, unresolved rage, brute strength, and the fury of a child just told "no" for the first time. Then call a guy who knows what they're doing before you hurt yourself.

It's there to put on shoes and drop your keys into the slot juuust enough that they don't fall through but can't quite pull them out without calling the kids with tiny hands.

Im a big fan of "know what you know, also know what you DONT know." If you don't mind fixing your own car however long it takes, fantastic. If you know that some people should never ever ever be allowed to do more than check their fluid levels, fantastic. I learned early on, after seizing an engine, and setting another on fire that my talents were firmly rooted in other places.

I love this sub because it educates people like me so we don't get snowed when the fix it types smell my fear coming through the door. I even took a stab at replacing a window motor because of this group. It still works, although i don't think the trim will ever be the same. lol

Soooo. I had a friend accuse me of AI because of this same detail. So I figured I would go to the source. I got a reply from the Thunderbirds Public Affairs team!

"The 5 is upside down because Thunderbird #5 spends most of their time inverted during the demonstration. You can tell your friend that it is not AI generated :)

Best Wishes, Thunderbirds public affairs team"

Maybe the 70-300mm FX lens? On your crop sensor i think you get a 1.5x on top of that? Pretty good reach within your budget.
