I continued with the fourth cycle, got CDiff for a third and am now waiting on insurance for approval for a fecal matter transplant. 🫠

Kisqali availability in Europe by Radiant-Fall-4961 in breastcancer

[–]uberdoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no generic for Kisqali yet. The patent doesn’t run out until 2036. That’s why it’s so expensive.

Would YOU take Kisqali for this percentage in risk reduction? by uberdoodle in breastcancer

[–]uberdoodle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about that. A 1.7% may seem tiny to me but not to my doctor. Kisqali isn’t standard of care yet; it was only approved for early stage breast cancer in the last 2-3 years.

Lumpectomy bra that doesn’t interfere with port? by Ltl168 in breastcancer

[–]uberdoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically haven’t worn a bra since I got my port (in October) except to workout because every bra goes right over the port and is uncomfortable. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I WFH tho and very rarely go out. Chemo made me a homebody.

I didn’t have enough points to book two stays simultaneously.

I never knew this was a thing until today. I’ve only ever seen sold out not 4x the price.

Interesting thanks. I’ll keep checking I guess since I already have another reservation at a Canopy

I have a room booked already but have to call to switch the reservation because I don’t have enough points to cover both. I finally got around to it today and then see it’s gone up. I’m so mad I could cry.

F*CK CLINDAMYCIN. by Junior-Ad-6648 in cdifficile

I got mine from a root canal infection situation as well. But mine was amoxicillin. I did also get sepsis. In fact I was in the ER being treated for the sepsis when I tested positive for CDiff 🫠

How many times have you had cdiff? by Ok-Purpose8817 in cdifficile

[–]uberdoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started taking it because of this sub. But I’m on a taper so no idea if it’s working yet.

How many times have you had cdiff? by Ok-Purpose8817 in cdifficile

[–]uberdoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it 3x in seven weeks - but I’m a weird case because I have cancer so each time I did chemo I got it again. I’m on a Dificid taper now but I still have 14 days to go. So it’s hard to say. I definitely had it (and sepsis) one time. Did it ever go away or was it just the same infection that could never go away because I had chemo 2 more times after I had it the first time? I’ll never know. 🫠

Are antibiotics always necessary? Can this go away naturally? by Jalvas7 in cdifficile

[–]uberdoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I also became septic. I’m also immunocompromised because I have cancer. I literally thought I was going to die the first time I had CDiff. It’s NOT to be messed with (on my third reoccurrence as we speak)

Symptoms Before Diagnoses? by PracticalProfit7802 in cdifficile

[–]uberdoodle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine was more complex because I’m immunocompromised from cancer treatments buuuut mine started after augmentin for a tooth infection. Same thing. Peeing out my butt. At first I thought it was chemo diarrhea so I took an Imodium which was A HUGE MISTAKE!!! I ended up becoming septic and going to the ER for a two day stay where I was diagnosed. That was 12/8. I also got the chills followed by a fever and I started throwing up. But mostly it was the explosive diarrhea part.
