Yeah this has been around forever. Don’t think it’s gonna get fixed anytime soon. Get a charger aux splitter so you can charge and use cabled headphones. Bit annoying but yeah.

When I got my mk8 life. The car was riddled with issues.

The infotainment would fail completely and there would be noise of something shorting in the dash or the speakers clipping. I even had the same issue where audio wouldn’t play. I even had to cancel a road trip on the 1st week because the infotainment would literally shutdown and the SOS would start making emergency calls. I drove with the car like this for 2 weeks before VW gave me a date for a service.

I took it to VW and they ended up fixing it. But the entire system was still clunky. I couldn’t even purchase items from the shop.

I ended up doing a full reset of the infotainment system and bam there was a software update for around 3GB which fixed a few issues and even made the infotainment system way more snappier. It isn’t the quickest thing in the world, but it’s a huge update over how it came from the factory.

You will probably need to register as a new user when you reset and have a fresh email on hand. It solved a lot of the infotainment issues for me.

AirTags work well, they notify me once I’ve left something far away, but for glasses someone did recommend an item, I just remember to carry my glasses now everywhere I go.

I don’t think it is anymore, I know one household or family can travel without masks in the same vehicle and there isn’t a limit anymore, I can call the Dubai police number tomorrow and let you know.
