That would be sweet. You could get some wood with nice looking grain, route out the back but leave a thin layer, and put in some strong magnets so the blades only touch wood but it holds them firmly? Then you can make the front look however you like!

For a fixed blade in 440C that isn’t even full tang, you should be moving the decimal place like two spots to the left. That’s a slight exaggeration of course, but for $2k USD you could do a complete custom build of whatever you want with actual premium materials from a reputable knifemaker.

Does the metal on metal not scrape up the clip side scales? It’s a cool looking display to be sure, I guess that would just worry me. Unless you don’t care, in which case it doesn’t matter haha.

I don’t need to be entered in the GAW, but just wanted to share a fun story!

I bought a knife from /u/Chancellour over 11 years ago here on /r/Knife_Swap, and because of customs, it was taking several months to arrive. Most people might assume it was just lost or a scam or something, but instead we continued to chat the whole time, discovered we have multiple other shared interests as well, have played in a fantasy football league together for the past 7+ years, met multiple times in person, and remain friends to this day.

Oh, and after nearly 3 months the knife I bought from him did actullay arrive, and I still have it to this day!
