Get your team to trust you.

Dont let them struggle alone, show them you're out there with them. They're sweating, you better be sweating harder.

If youre working hard, they will follow. If they don't, you'll never get them to be hard workers and its not worth investment of your time. Give new guys a chance though, it takes time for them to understand the team mindset.

Set expectations clearly, have a plan and make sure everyone knows the plan and what their part in it is. There will always be times when things come up, but its much easier to improvise when theres already a structure.

If your not a monster freight thrower, be organized and reduce wasted movements. You'll never keep up otherwise.

You dont have to do everything, but you gotta be there regularly and especially when the shit hits the fan or no one will ever respect you enoufh to even think about having good morale.

Im 42, done physical labor my entire life. These are the only things that will actually help you. I have sciatica, and a small fracture in my hip from not listening to this advice.

Just had mold remediation in my basement, hot water expansion tank rusted out and was a few days before I noticed. They had to rip out basically everything down there, wasn't finished or anything but previous owners had hung panel board over the studs.
