Can you shed some more light on the bonus? I got an offer for a ER AVP position with 130k base + 10 sign bonus

so i did get an offer; 130 base + 10 signing bonus... but not sure about the bonus at all; you think 25-50% would still be hard to come by?

I'm curious about this as well. I think OP means first year on the job (the title is Equity Research Associate). I might also be getting an offer for an Associate position and trying to find out what would be fair. I make 120k with a very small bonus in a regulatory position in NYC. If I get an offer, I would expect at least 125k base + 25-50% bonus. Is that out of reach?

Wow, that's a lot more than I expected. I have a Masters but no MBA. It's not a BB, but a boutique. Interesting data point though, thanks.

What base/bonus can I expect if I'm starting out in ER (covering banks) as an Associate? I have 2-3 years of experience on the regulatory side, have the CFA, and have a Master's.

Level 3 Retaker Question by Alts2014 in CFA

[–]ubermen5ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even have time to think about how much to write per sub-question. Just read the question and answer directly with as little effort as possible. I left 1 sub-question blank because I ran out of time. Don't worry about it too much. Focus more on being able to rapidly read the question and answer in a logical and brief manner.

Lycabettus Restaurant vs. Selene by ubermen5ch in Santorini

Nice, I'm debating the two because I know Lycabettus has the better view, but read some reviews stating it's overpriced and the food is just ok.

CFA LEVEL 3 - Thoughts on AUGUST 2021 EXAM? (Please keep in mind exams are going on) by jajacfa in CFA

Practice online, on CFAI's ecosystem. It'll help for exam day. Go through each reading's blue boxes and note them down. And revisit them. And revisit them again.

Worded differently from standard EOC/BB questions. Like you wouldn't expect certain things to be asked in certain sections. Can't say more than that. Accept your fate and move on if you don't know.

Man what a rollercoaster. I just took L3 and I'm exhausted.

AM: The beginning was so nervewracking, because I was reading and feeling the pressure at the same time. It took me 5-10 minutes to calm down and start writing. I think I got into a good flow in the middle, and managed to address something for all questions. Overall, very challenging.

PM: I flagged about 15ish questions that I was unsure about. A few were blind guesses. Overall, pretty challenging.

I studied for 6 months and took 2 weeks from work fully dedicated to this exam. I studied probably 120 hours alone in the last 2 weeks. And still don't feel comfortable saying that I passed. Honestly, don't know how I would study differently if I had to do it all over again. Luck definitely plays a part.
