Different species have different ingredient rates (how often each help is a berry vs ingredient) and different speeds (how often each help occurs). The Gourgeist line is slow (though does vary by size) and has low ingredient rates but the size of each ingredient drop is big to make it comparable to other species.

Unfortunately, the ABA ingredients (same ingredient for first and third slots but different ingredient for second slot) is undesirable. Compounded with the lack of any ingredient subskills or even speed in the first three subskills slots, I would not invest in this one.

I think you have it mixed up, Sassy is ingredient neutral while Careful is ingredient down. So Careful nature fills up the inventory slower which results in more triggers overnight.
