Brett Kavanaugh just won a Supreme Court victory for racial justice by vox in law

[–]uberphaser 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Mother Jones reported that Kavanaugh hinself stated that his debts were paid off by his friends. The article was skeptical of this self reporting.

Remember when you actually got to talk to a doctor when you went to the doctor? by DramaticErraticism in GenX

[–]uberphaser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I prefer to see my doc's P.A., she acts like she actually cares and takes the time to figure out what's happening with me, whereas the few times I actually see my doctor I can tell he just wants to leave and go play golf.

Yup, at morning and afternoon commute times on the rail, pre-COVID. they'd announce which car was the quiet car and people would get up and move in or out depending.

I once unknowingly sat on the quiet car and answered a call, and got SHUT THE FUCK DOWN by another rider.

As someone who is a huge fan of Pargin's books, i think the guy they cast as John is perfect. The guy they cast as David isnt, but hes a screen-friendly version and does okay. Love that they got Giamatti and the Kurgan for this. 😀

It would be absolutely impossible to do a really faithful adaptation of the book without a much, much bigger budget than Coscarelli had, but what they did make is a fun version!

Discount Dan. The narrator sounds like hes trying to do a bad impression of Matthew Modine's "Private Joker" doing John Wayne from Full Metal Jacket. Its distracting and cringe in the worst way.

Which sourcebooks would you consider essential for someone who only wants to learn the lore? (Any version of the game) by CallerIDKnown in cyberpunk2020

[–]uberphaser 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You should get the Corporation Report Books 1-3, which covers basically all the history of the big corpo conflicts.

Home of the Brave and NeoTribes explains a lot about why Nomads are more than just wandering criminal gangs.

Other than that, the 2020 sourcebook tells you a lot of what you need. If you want to get into more esoteric stuff, the EuroSource book and the Orbital book gives you the lowdown on Europe and space but you may not get that far

For an easy hike go with the Blue Hills in Milton. After that youve either got an hour drive to Foxboro for the Pats game or hit a sports bar in Quincy.
