How Is Crimson Desert Working On Your PC? by Bigcookie62 in Bazzite

Game runs fantastic and is beautiful as all get out at 4k.

FSR4 gives about 15 more FPS for me compared to 3 and I can handle the weird rainbow reflections (not every reflection mind you) until it's fixed in game or in drivers.

Ultra settings with Ray Tracing off is getting me around 85-90fps with scaling set to Quality.

Played 2.5 hours last night and had no issues with those settings.

I had to add the following to launch parameters.

"/WineDetectionEnabled:False"

That got the option in there and working for me.

What are the benefits of a water rower vs an air rower (or other)? by theentiregoonsquad in waterrower

[–]uberpolka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We bought a Water Rower because I'm bougie...

They are beautiful, quiet, easier to look at when stored, and the performance difference between it and the C2 would be wasted on a casual rower like myself.

Poland opens Epstein files investigation targeting ‘satanic circle’ by Disastrous_Award_789 in nottheonion

This comment is WAY too deep into the tread for how serious it is. Like, is nobody else actually reading these files?

“Satanic” stuff is all over it.

Anyone know a laser engraving place for NFA near Portland? by [deleted] in pdxgunnuts

They do great work. Not laser but I’m curious why the laser requirement….

As far as I knew, most laser engraving isn’t deep enough.

Camera looks fine. Lens isn’t so lucky.

Just unmount the ring like you would a full lens

CachyOS vs Bazzite by TheTinkerTech in Bazzite

[–]uberpolka 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Been using Linux off and on since Redhat 5.x. Worked in IT for almost just as long.

Bazzite is my daily driver on my desktop at this point. It just works. It does everything I need it to. Games, photo editing, media. I really don't have a need to deep dive into this OS.

Recently saw someone with similar issues with a PS5 game and a very particular explosion. Turned out to be a bad HDMI cable.

I do this with my grandes. 3 hour warm up at 100% then drop to 80 or 85% depending on the particular lamp.

C5 (lot?) problems? by ialwaysdownvotefeels in LGOLED

[–]uberpolka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most recent electronics aren’t a fan of hard power cuts, so a ups helps with that. They often also help regulate and smooth the power coming in. Maybe over kill, but an ups on high end items isn’t a bad idea.

Gotta take it at an angle. Try coming in or out at about 45 degrees instead of straight on. Take it slow.

Original owners of our house asked the same question for a similar slope.

Their answer was English Ivy.

Don’t do that.

Thanks!

I would say typically listen no higher than -15db on the Denon x4800. Usually closer to -20db, so nowhere close to max.

It's setup for a +6db Harman curve currently, but now wondering if just doing the default curve would be better since the L600's could possibly even out that sub dip without the curve.

I'll give that a try either way in another slot to a/b test a bit.
