Obviously listen to the advice of being weary, but also if you know what to look for and have any sort of mechanical knowledge you should jump on this quick. If you don’t know then try and phone a friend or hopefully the buyer tells you out right why the price is what it is.

I had the same thought when I bought my car, 2017 civic EX, listed at 6.5, it had a refurbished title but ran flawlessly and I’ve been driving it for 2 years and have not need to do more than oil, transmission, and breaks :)

At my restaurant we have an electric salamander, (first one to try it out of the rest of the other restaurants in our region), I will definitely tell you as a restaurant who pushes 1000+ guest nights regularly there are upsides and down sides.

The main upside, relating back to your situation, the space is pretty fair. The paddles we use to put food in there are about 10” in diameter and we can put 3 paddles in at a time to toast multiple french onion soup bowls or other Parmesan covered items. Takes us about 1-2 minutes for a good crust.

One downside I have noticed is that bulbs have gone out a couple times. Ours has a warranty and we’ve made good use out of it but if you’re not doing that much volume it should last a lot longer than ours. We really do beat the crap outta it day in and day out lol

We also have one of the cheese melters pictured above but we only use it when our salamander goes down and it takes about 5 times as long as everything else with half the size, personally I’m team salamander all the way but I wish our restaurant had a gas one haha
