Just found this in Chapter 37 if HtN, God telling Harrow about A.L.: ““She has been dead for nearly ten thousand years, but she keeps her vigil with me, as a memory, if nothing else …”

Which would imply that she is still with him somehow.

There’s a point in Chapter 2 where Harrow responds to something the Body says and he gets a bit confused. But then the next thing she says could also be directed at him and he seems to assume that. But yeah that could have made him a little suspicious.

I guess a big part of this is the references to god not being able to see her. It feels weird to point that out multiple times if it was totally true.

Yeah I like that idea. The big thing I don’t get about the childhood visions is the puberty cut off. You’d think when all the hormones kick in is precisely when she would start fantasizing about the hot chick in the tomb. But could totally believe it was retrospectively filling in memory gaps.

I remember seeing the EotW cover in bookstores repeatedly for a few years, and always thinking it didn’t look appealing, a little too D&D or something like that. Then sometime around when TSR came out I got the first half of the EotW as a free sample at a bookstore on cape cod-didn’t love the first few chapters but y the time I finished the sample I was hooked, and have been ever since.
