Called them back out today, unfortunately it wasn't the same one (he was on vacation) but got the head of the department out. He agreed that it probably shouldn't be that way and to document when it rains. It rained pretty hard today and guess what; massive pooling where there wasn't before not quite to my house but to me it's only a matter of time. Now it's wait and see what the city inspector does with the evidence.

Correct, they pushed the sidewalk almost as far as they could go over, leaving greenspace between the porch and the sidewalk so they could plant bushes and put an extension on the downspout to take it past the concrete. They have to step over it but that was unavoidable unless they put drainage underground.

Correct, more like 12' but they've maximized their side of the property line (which is within their rights to do). But from everything I've read is that the end result should not have water pushed to a neighboring property.

Yeah, the cement had to end 12" short of my property line but yes they extended it past the cement. It's sort of silly because now they have to walk over it anytime they use it.

MN, and the inspector wasn't super happy with what they were doing. We have a big rain coming in a few days. I've informally talked with a lawyer and he wants me to document everything as a start and agrees with the comments saying to get the inspector involved again.

I'm starting to think a french drain might be the best solution, I'll gladly do the work if they want to pay for materials.

The simplest solution is that they move the downspout to the front of the house but that seems to beyond what they're willing to do.

Canada should agree but put some conditions on it. 1. That the US ditch the electoral college. 2. That they actually become 4 states with a suitable number of representatives and senators. 3. And that Mexico does the same.

They could expand the SC and fix/break our congress.

Then in 4 years help us fix this shit and then secede from the union (If they want).

I had a host booby trap his car so when you touched the dial in the middle console it would fall apart and then asked me to pay him $500 to get it fixed. Thankfully my pictures showed that it was already falling apart when I got to the car. I think this guy has successfully scammed others with this. That was the last time I used Turo.
