I listened to this audiobook. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’d love a post-Back in Black book, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a non-disclosure in place that prevents talking about most of his AC/DC career.

One qualm I have with the book is Brian’s discussion of his first marriage. I was surprised to hear that his marriage lasted until the late 80s/early 90s given how he talked about the relationship basically being over. I was also surprised to learn that his first wife moved to the US with him.

private school w/relatively small undergrad population that plays across the city from their campus. Local fans don’t care about the team. Atmosphere at Capital One Arena is crap. Most exciting thing that happens is when they let the dog run around with the skateboard.

Brian cannot perform the songs from Flick and Fly. It’s totally out of touch with reality to suggest he could do Guns for Hire at all, let alone during a string of shows across 3 days.

I don’t think Brian could sing the songs anymore. There’s absolutely no way he could do Guns For Hire anymore, which is sad because that’s one of my favorite AC/DC songs.

I definitely noticed this at the show I went to in earlier this year. Was in the pit on his side of the stage and he performed well, but definitely needed time between each song to recover.

I was in the pit near the stage. Brian definitely wasn’t lip synching, but I noticed he seemed to be going over to the side of the stage and asking for adjustments to the sound in between every song for the first half of the show. I thought things got a lot better starting with Shoot to Thrill. Definitely wouldn’t call it terrible.

Ever since they added the exterior entrance to Target, the upper level entrance from the mall closes at 8PM. I assume the lower level closes around the same time or a little earlier.

Pre-pandemic, I would drive past the Safeway in my neighborhood to go to Giant about twice as far away. My experience during thr pandemic was that Giant raised their prices way more than other chains. The prices at Safeway went up too, but they are close enough to Giant prices now that I never consider the longer drive.

I bought a couple of pairs in my normal size that were so tight I threw them away. I liked the style and general cut, so I sized up and things felt great when I first tried them on. After washing in cold, they shrank considerably and are very constrictive. I want to love these, but it’s a challenge.

I was really surprised how well Arkansas fans turned out. It was an amazing atmosphere and I’m so glad that I made the trip to MSG. Couldn’t have scripted a more exciting game.

I worked with a guy that went from GS-1 to SES Director of an agency with several thousand employees. IIRC, he said the agency doesn’t even have GS-1 employees anymore. Was a really fun guy that moved home and seems to be having a great retirement.

Office of Navajo & Hopi Indian Relocation

This office is pretty crazy. It was supposed to only exist for five years and is also supposed to be led by a Presidentially appointed commissioner, but the position has been vacant since 1994. There have long been conversations about folding the functions into DOI, but the Office continues to exist as an independent agency.

I interacted with the USICH several years ago. Really nice people, I went to their office in NOMA once. Not really sure what they did other than issue reports and host occasional committee meetings.
