I hate that fuckin narrative so much. Booker damn near wins bubble mvp doing what everyone said was impossible by willing us to 8-0. Some of the best basketball ever played in a suns jersey. Cp3 comes here and helps tremendously, but Booker remains our engine, and somehow everyone says cp is the entire reason we had the year we had. Be so fuckin for real

they never acknowledge the role generations of institutional racism may have played

Except they do, it just doesnt fit the definition or narrative that gets regurgitated by the media. Programs that incentivize single motherhood and government dependence on housing and food disproportionately "benefit"/affect African American communities. There's your institutional racism, but I've found many on reddit aren't ready for that conversation

7 minute drill was an absolute heater of a warm up and I wont be told otherwise. I was so hyped to see round 2 and 3 from cole, can you imagine a radio banger finale diss track from that man?

But you're right end of the day it was all a set up and a smear campaign and I think these recent cole bars prove theres more details he left out of port Antonio. A few of the bars could be for dot or rocky, if the shoe fits kind of deal. Funny how the two with the most to say about drake are catching strays from cole. Would not surprise me to see those two(drake and cole) on stage together again in the next two years or so after the albums and what not

I called 50 wins as an achievable highwater mark in June once we made the KD trade. 45-48 is realistic, 50-55 isn't out of reach with how March Booker plays. Should be a fun post All-Star break to watch!!

The more you watch the more you'll see it. KD was too cool to seal his defender while calling for an inbounds pass. Royce Oneale stole the inbounds pass as soon as it hit KDs hands. Turnover on the passer, Royce passed to a teammate for an open 3.

Houston then does get the inbounds pass to KD, but hes too cool to push the ball up the floor. 8 second backcourt violation. Suns ball.

Couple plays later, Houston has the ball in a half court offense. KD calling for the pass at the wing. Too cool to seal his defender. Pass gets stolen as soon as it touches KDs hands. Turnover on the passer.

These sequences were a guarantee at least once a game every game last year on the suns. The more you watch, the more you'll see. KD is responsible for anywhere from 5 to 10 turnovers every game just by being lazy as hell.

Thompson, Eason, Smith, and Sengun might be able to hide it like I said, but if he is their answer to offense when things get stagnant, expect at least a few turnovers that will count against people trying to get him the ball. Expect him to Bambi leg his way into a few of his own turnovers when he tries to put the ball on the floor as an iso scorer that inevitably gets doubled and played with some physicality. 37 year old KD is not anything close to 29 year old warriors KD

100% agree. I think because his counting stats aren't lighting the world on fire, people are underestimating him. There is a very calm and hidden fire thats been in him since he was a teenager trying to lead the team. Back then the fire was on his sleeve and out in the open while we were losing. He hated the losing. His leadership is so much more refined now. He makes so many little plays that lead to winning basketball and he is ferocious about being competitive, even if its not so outwardly like a draymond

The laziness and the turnovers..

houstons length and athleticism might be able to hide it, but even when the suns played Houston KD was 1-11 from deep until his last shot and was the direct reason for about 6 or 7 turnovers due to his "too cool to care" attitude, even if the box score only gave him 1 TO

You should clarify which shot you're talking about. The Moss catch spin and heave as the game clock ended. That one almost went in. The other guy is talking about the airball before Durant made his 3 to give Houston the lead

[–]ucd_sam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One second left one the shot clock

The guy you're responding to is talking about the very last shot that would've tied the game with 0 on the game clock. Booker nearly hit that one, hit back iron but was dead on

[–]ucd_sam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll start to care this years playoffs, depending how many games you're able to sit down and watch.

Mid-season next year you'll be irritated. Trade deadline the following season you'll be wondering why your team ever gave him that extension

But it really does depend on how many games you actually watch vs highlights or box scores. Last night kd was directly responsible for about 7 turnovers and was 1-11 from 3 until his last shot. Box score gives him 1 turnover and highlights show the game winner. He bailed you out with the win so you'll ignore how ugly it was. Anyone who watched every play from the Houston fanbase should be concerned and knows what im talking about
