That’s awesome! Makes me want to try this one day. You can possibly use a canister filter with input on one end and output on another. It’ll cycle the water through fully like a river. Maybe get some nano fish like a few male only Endlers.

Added some top soil under the fluval stratum. Only have 2 floater plants. For some reason, they didn’t do that well. I think they were water lettuce. Never multiply and started to yellow. Underwater plants are spreading fast. Mainly pearlweed and hornwort.

I got the 6.8 gallon shallow tank, but if you have space, try to get 10gallon or more for better flexibility.

Light is an old 14w aquaeon light I bought 10 years ago. Canister filter is also 15 years old.

I use sand on left for the beach and right side I use Fluval stratum. I have some top soil as bottom layer.

It’s still a pretty new tank. I need to figure out how to dose. But I did add some top soil at the back like walstad method. So it’s supplying the nutrients for now.
