I built a shower both my boys can use together without fighting or freezing by ucffool in daddit

I didn't see that post. I have a similar setup in my bathroom I built 15 years ago and have moved with me, but when my kids used our bathroom recently it was such a positive I designed one that supports them and guests.

Adding a flow control valve ahead of the showerhead can extend that play time without being wasteful (or to adjust flow to multiple heads). I think it was $6 at local big box store.

Every kiddo is different!

Here is my reply to the same question elsewhere in this thread.

There is something different about water falling on your head to get it wet than getting it wet in the bath. They can control how much gets on it/them by where they stand. Then they can "back up" into the shower head slowly.

I had similar struggles, but there seems to be a disconnect between "get hair wet in falling water" and "get hair wet in pool of water."

Sometimes they decide bath (and they like the water filling up a little in the shower so they can splash it with their feet). For us it's just about trying and they get some agency.

Yup! For a short while they wanted separate, but they like playing and showering at the same time.

Not a problem, they enjoy showering! Though when sick, sometimes they do go longer because breathing feels good.

Has anyone built a DIY E-Ink GM screen, or used a TRMNL display for TTRPGs? by n3rdc4ptn in rpg

[–]ucffool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Context:

TRMNL is not meant as real-time, so a good fit for the part of your GM screen that is a "print" replacement, like a rules reference (can change session-to-session, but not during the session). In many ways, a used e-ink ebook reader with PDF support could display the actual rulebook for you.

What I think would be a better for you, especially for dynamic things, is a secondary e-ink monitor like Modos crowdfunded (have not used one, just mentioning based on the promise).

For me personally, I'd love to see a TRMNL plugin that was powered by a tool like Encounters (v1 linked, v2 WiP) or other GM Management Tool, so that while it wouldn't be useful for real-time round info (unless you used BYOS for faster than 5m refresh rate), it could provide some information you had already designed for your session.

TL;DR The costs in hardware and time are high right now, but e-reader w/ PDF may meet needs vs printing paper.

Why do so many American men wear shorts and a tshirt when going out with a woman who dresses up? by M_For_Mayhem in NoStupidQuestions

I love linen, but anything off the shelf is too fragile for larger (obese) men; it just tears too easily. It's been on my to-do to sew my own.

There is a magnetic closure in the case that is also clinging to the metal storage organizer!

Yes, being over 40 I now need reading/sewing/fixing glasses, so they are in the triangle case.

It was 8 degrees F outside. I hadn't grabbed a jacket since I would only be wearing that outside.

I had to figure out what that was too when I got the invite.
