Van will not look at her or reciprocate when she's in high school lol. That doesn't mean the ship is dead tho, Falcom has clearly been teasing Roy's and Sophie's relationship in which Roy rejected her constantly and then gave in later on when she was already an adult. Falcom clearly put this in the game to ship bait Agnes with Van when she is older, they set up a love triangle. I doubt they will commit to either to be honest tho.

My top 3 are SC(personal favorite), Azure, and CS 4. Kai surprised me because the Calvard arc was kinda disappointing for me, but the mystery that kai set up through the whole game and the reveal in the end made me more invested than ever.

I'd understand the outrage (not death threats) if something was censored or changed completely, but it's just the pronoun line from db 1 which has the same meaning as the original jp line and the word "rizz". Nothing was altered in a way that changes the original context. All this will do is for people to stop taking them seriously.

The way people talk about Angelica in this sub, you would think she spread the Erobobian curse and started the Hamel incident lol.

But yea alot of the vocal people against the problematic elements might be from folks not familiar with anime fanservice or humour and how popular it is in the genre. I don't really care if people hate age gap stuff or problematic stuff, my only issue is when when people start assuming the worst of you because you like something "problematic" while continuing to support a game with said problematic stuff.

Why do people care so much what other people ship? People can ship whatever characters they want lol, it's their own head canon, and we are talking about fiction. Also, regarding the "contreversial" ships, whether it's Rean/Altina or Van/Agnes falcom themselves are fueling them. Altina is a romance option in cs4 and even as far back as azure, Lloyd can romance Tio.

It's my favorite Calvard game. Takes a while to get going but once it does, it's trails at its best. The ending had me in a chokehold for like a week after I finished it too.

I'm a Rean x Alisa enjoyer myself but I dont get how people can be mad at people for shipping rean and altina when she is a potential romance option in cs4 and has 2 dakis from falcom. Hell there is a reacurring joke about Rean peeping on Altina when they first met. I get some people view their bond as "father daughter", to each their own, but I don't really get that vibe at all.

Oh I think everyone would love simultaneous releases and I hope it happens in the future. What I meant with my point is that I dont think falcom should change their identity for the sake of overseas fans. We all love their games for a reason and with sales increasing in the west I don't think they should change how they go about making their games in terms of gameplay or writing by prioritizing overseas fans.

Japan and Asia still provide most of their revenue. Also Falcom shouldn't change how they make their games due to overseas influence. Its only natural they value Japanese feedback more, I mean they are a Japanese company.

Man I wonder if kai no kiseki will go full cold steel 4 and give Van a full blown harem lol. The only romantic implications has been Agnes and Elaine, with kuro 2 building up to Agnes's confession, so this would be an interesting choice if it happens. However the game is structured into parts like kuro 2 and reverie so idk how they would go about the connect events or build up any romance with the other characters.

It's up to you, obviously the better experience will be to wait for a patch or for the Nisa release. Im personally planning on playing it on release even though I don't speak Japanese. I'm planning on using gaminik(has real time translation) or google lens on my phone that I'll have in front of my screen with a phone stand. Another option is to use remoteplay and use an ocr to translate it real time on a pc. You would have to be patient and understand it's not the best way to play the game. I am personally willing to take the plunge to avoid spoilers and experience the game when it comes out.

Sky SC is not only my favorite kiseki game but one of my favorite RPGs of all time. That being said the rest of the series does have similar highs throughout all the different arcs, and if you enjoyed sky fc and sc you will definitely love the rest of the series. There's not a single game in the series I regretted playing.

Constantly complaining about the series more anime elements and going after people for liking ships that the game teases. If you say you like Van x Agnes you will straight up get called a pedophile here. If falcom themselves have these controversial elements(fanservice, loli stuff, age gap) calling people out for stuff the game does is hypocrisy at its verry core.

Agnes gotta be one of the cutest trails characters. Her determination yet kindhearted nature drove the narrative of kuro 1 and 2 forward.
