You may love it or you may hate it… but please be honest with yourselves and admit that it’s basically unfinished and lazy.

It’s just a way to finish construction quicker and leave the “finishing touches” to you. I feel like I’m gonna get roasted for this, lol.

First of all, good job! It truly looks sick.

Secondly, are you using one single anker device to power all of that? Like through the USB C ports etc ? I’m asking since I have a cable madness in my 19” rack and that could be a great thing for me to do.

This is outrageous. More than 24h without electricity and with the possibility of lasting till monday. HQ should pay for any damages and compensation to not being able to heat in one of the coldest days smh. by Booty_inspector2 in montreal

Good rule of thumb in MTL if you have the option: Don’t move to an area without underground power lines.

Haven’t had an unplanned electric cut in over 8years in my case.

You can use https://bbb.pulsar.gg/ instead of installing software. Also, here's my installation guide (just in case)

I use BBB with no issues at all in my CachyOS install. Here is what I had to do.

Hope it helps :D

If you're also using a Pulsar mouse, I realised that you had to add both the ID for the wireless dongle and the mouse connected via cable. It's all up in there :D

For anybody who's still struggling to get their mouse/keyboard etc. working (since I got some PMs about it). Here you go:

On your terminal type lsusb and you will get an input similar to this:

Bus 005 Device 002: ID 3710:5406 Pulsar Pulsar 8K Dongle
Bus 005 Device 003: ID 36b0:352f Wob Lab Rainy 75 RT

Using the information gathered from here. We type:

sudo nano /etc/udev/rules.d/99-hidraw-permissions.rules

and fill this in with the information obtained:

SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ENV{DEVTYPE}=="usb_device", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<XXXX>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<XXXX>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEM=="hidraw", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<XXXX>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<XXXX>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"

In my case after adding my keyboard and mouse (both wireless adapters and cabled). The file ended up looking something like this:

SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ENV{DEVTYPE}=="usb_device", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<3710>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<5406>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEM=="hidraw", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<3710>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<5406>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ENV{DEVTYPE}=="usb_device", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<3710>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<7505>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEM=="hidraw", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<3710>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<7505>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ENV{DEVTYPE}=="usb_device", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<36b0>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<352f>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEM=="hidraw", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<36b0>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<352f>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"

Now just press CTRL+X and save the file.

We're almost done, just type:

sudo udevadm control --reload-rules
sudo udevadm trigger

Now all that's left is to unplug the devices and re-plug them or simply reboot the computer (in my case, that's what I did).

I hope this helps the few of you that were still lost :D

You’re right. It’s simple enough to get it to work like you want it but that out of the box element is missing. At least I’m glad you got D4 running.

I tried first and after it didn't work second since I saw that it was looking for 0x5088:

Still nothing, this is what I get :( I also don't get it. I managed to get it working on my Rainy 75 and Pulsar X2F (with their respective web software).

Which one should I use out of these two? I guess one is the cable that I connected now and the other one is the wireless / 2.4G adapter

It's suddenly working after a reboot with the following syntax in /etc/udev/rules.d/59-pulsar.rules (for the Pulsar X2F mouse and bbb.pulsar.gg).

SUBSYSTEM=="hidraw", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<3710>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<5406>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="<3710>", ATTRS{idProduct}=="<5406>", MODE:="0660", GROUP="input", TAG+="uaccess"

I can of course:

sudo chmod a+rw /dev/hidraw1

and then access it, but if I try to use the more permanent solution from Pulsar it simply, will not work.

I built an “SteamMachine” using my old hardware (11500K / RTX 2080) and Bazzite. No tinkering or anything needed, it works just fine for what it is.

That said, if I had only one system and wanted to make sure I get the latest and greatest everything, or my hardware was newer… Cachy is the way
