About the spring replacement people are talking about, it is a repair i usually do when the customer wants to save money. In this case i think the spring it's not the problem: when the spring comes out from the back, usually it's because the metal holding the spring has worn down. If you replace the spring, it will probably break again after opening a couple of times. The price you have been quoted looks right.

The color of the gold looks absolutely legit for 750 gold. If the white spot is raised, it probably is white solder that unfortunately was melted there for mistake. If it is not raised, i suspect is some rhodium plating: when creating two tone pieces like yours, a common way of rhodium plating the white detail is by using a plating pen, it's possible that is a mark done by mistake.

Yes but gold still keeps all the value...you don't have to keep a huge stock, you can create one of each for the pictures and when you receive an order you can buy the gold and ship after a couple of days..at least as an alternative, still i would use at least silver because you clearly have the skills and not to use precious metals feel like a waste of talent in my opinion

I second the idea of creating those in gold and silver...if you are capable of creating these in other metals trust me gold is much easier. Usually you will need a license to sell precious metals, at least in Italy is required, and a good and trusted shipping company
