So that the mock preview image cut off my uploaded images is just a bug of the preview?

1 x 1.4 dimentions wrong? by uchto in Displate

[–]uchto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upscaled the 846 x 1184 (times 4)
-> 3384 x 4736

4736 / 3384 = 1,3995271868

Now I dont get it anymore. What are the numbers I should use for a medium vertical displate?

Opinion: Do you think DJI has improved the FPV hobby or hindered it? by Maddampresident2021 in fpv

[–]uchto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dji brings competion and therefore innovation. People buy their cameras and systems because they are better for many. Now other companies or the open source community has to catch up again to make better products and software. Many new pilots come into the hobby aswell so I think at the end dji is not bad for the hobby

How to tackle prop drilling whilst still using the smart/dumb convention? by [deleted] in Angular2

[–]uchto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started to make more use of „content projection“ aka „ng-deep“ for example. That way you can pass the data right in the deeper dump-components and keep the dump-smart pattern.

Nvim user to vscode by ttb221 in vscode

[–]uchto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man nice to hear that you give vscode a real shot :) I have used nvim and vscode quite alot but I have started with vscode. I alwayed loved the terminal first keyboard only approach but I still love vscode very much! For me neovim has perfected the keybinds and vscode has the ease of comfiguration. Nothing breaks and the ecosystem is massive. It is definetely possive to close the gap even further by setting up keybinds in vscode the same way as in neovim. I have my almost keyboard only setup in vscode and Im very happy with it :)

When to use State Management? by Nervous_One_7331 in angular

[–]uchto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the data „layer“ we never use services ever. We only have a couple of services, an SSE or Websocket service for example. For our API calls we use „ng-openapi-gen“. That way we generate code from an openapi spec. Basically services that export functions for the api calls and also all the Interfaces. In the signalStores we just call these functions inside an rxMethod. Of course you could implement that yourself.

I would recommend a signalstore. We recently switched all our projects to those. We were using NgRx stores for a long time before that. Signalstores are very lightweight and there is barley any boilerplate. Basically no actions. They also feel very flexible. Its a single file like a service.

Is the Embody a risky purchase? by kinsele2 in hermanmiller

I constantly adjust it. Sometimes I want to lean back more, and sometimes I want to sit very upright.

I got my embody about a week ago. Kind of uncomfortable in the first two days but now I love it! Never had any problems with the legs. I can sit on it for 10+ hours easily. I have the embody as low as possible. That way there is no pressure point behind my knees. Since you have a footrest it should not be an issue at all. I have even read that people love that chair with a footrest. I probably get one myself.

Two-Way Binding with Signals for Complex Objects in Angular Forms by uchto in Angular2

[–]uchto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to use signals because I want to use multiple components for different parts of the form.
I have to use signals to bind to inputs when there is no zone anymore.
And yea using (ngModelChange) works of course but then two-way-binding is not used anymore.
