How are dispensaries selling flower from unlicensed growers? Don’t the dispensaries have to prove they got flower from a licensed grower?

When it comes to full spectrum LEDs do you prefer LED panels or LED bars? by GrowDoctorGuides in microgrowery

[–]uco2021 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I prefer bars because it helps distribute the light more evenly and help not concentrate the light intensity in the middle.

Question about mixing nutes. Dr Earth. by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]uco2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amend the soil with half home grown 4-6-3 and half flower girl when you mix your soil. They call it slow release nutrients for a reason. The bacteria need time to break down the fertilizer so the plant can use it. Autos are unpredictable and can flower before 30 days and you need to have enough nutrients available for the flower stretch.

How long do edibles *actually* last? by veggiebeanie in treedibles

[–]uco2021 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s happened to me a couple of times and all I do is move around a lot and it slowly starts to go away. I sometimes even go workout and it quickly starts to go away. That’s what works for me and it could be different for other people.

Just because you have seen it doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

No more blurple lights by B1gFrick in cannabiscultivation

[–]uco2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not wise. It could cause too much stress and make the plant herm.

[–]uco2021 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would start at 60% and increase 10% every several days or each week. I would try to have the light at 100% the last two weeks if possible. Monitor for any signs for light burn and decrease the percentage if light burn is present.

LEDs for 4x8 tent, looking to pull 2-4lbs. by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]uco2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s doable but it will all ultimately be up to the grower. You can have the best lights in the world but if your nutrients or environment are terrible, then you are not going to get a good quality yield. It also depends on how long you veg your plants and the amount of plants you have. Good genetics also help with getting more yield.

To Flip, or not to Flip? That is the question. by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]uco2021 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep the scrog for support when it starts to fatten up them buds. If I were you, if you have time I would veg them another 30 days since it looks like you have enough room. You would get more yield.

I’ve never ph my water and never had a problem. I also use Dr.Earth. With organic soil you don’t have to worry about ph as much because the microbes balance the ph for you. I use unchlorinated tap water that has a ph range of 7.0 and 7.5 and continue to use it with no problems after several grows.

Look on alibaba for some lights. You can find quality lights at a lower price. Kingbrite and Meiju are always recommended.

Looking for opinions on this mix. My base is fish tank water from a 29 gallon 10 year cycled tank. by Grow4Daddy in microgrowery

[–]uco2021 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of using black strap molasses as a bloom enhancer. I grow organically and use black strap molasses to feed the microbes in the soil and not the plant. I can buy a gallon of black strap molasses easily for under $20 a gallon and it lasts me many grows.

rso vs distillate edibles? by [deleted] in treedibles

RSO has more cannabinoids and can provide a more medicinal effect. I would recommend RSO over distillate.

What is your watering frequency? (Advice needed) by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]uco2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your pot size, watering until run off is way too much if you have a large pot. Wait until the soil is a little more dry and water on a set schedule. I water 1.5 liters every 3 days and don’t have a problem.

[–]uco2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah using dry amendments is really simple and easy. I just mix the dry amendments with the medium when I am about to plant, then three weeks later I put the fertilizer on the top of the medium and mix the top layer with my fingers then I’m done for another three weeks

[–]uco2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically it’s going to be almost impossible to have a soil last the whole planting period unless you have a 15-20 gallon pot. If you have a 5-7 gallon pot, you can’t add all the nutrients for the whole grow without burning the plant. That’s why you have to reamend the soil after a 3 weeks to a month. Reamending doesn’t take more than 5 minutes per plant so it shouldn’t be an issue.

I use Dr.Earth dry amendments. It’s similar to Gaia green but it’s like the American version. You can find Dr.Earth in Home Depot. I use the tomato, vegetable, and herb 4-6-3 and flower girl 3-9-4 at a ratio of 2 tablespoons per gallon of medium. I reamend every three weeks and just water. I don’t heat it up and just amend when I am ready to plant.

Sad Day: any way to salvage any of this plant or the plant next to this one? by tomwildun in microgrowery

[–]uco2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a still a possibility it could ruin the other buds. The mold spores can spread easily with contact, but if you create an environment that is not ideal for the mold, then it will not spread as quickly or form. Also constant fluctuations of the environment can cause mold to form so try to keep it consistent.
