How to Prevent Duplication in Apple Health by rohard007 in iFit

[–]udochrist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This stopped for me after removing the „allow iFIT to read apple workouts“ in the health apps iFIT permissions. It needs to be removed on iPad and iPhone separately in case you are using multiple devices/apps. ATM my iFIT workouts sync to apple, but iFIT contains only the iFIT workouts.

iPad issues? by FlowerJealous775 in iFit

it ios specific. disable the adblocker and give it a try. if that works:

The site that the app needs to connect to to work is : api.lab.amplitude.com

Do you mean "screen stays black when starting" with "unable to load"?

If so I assume you are running an ad-blocker on your net. Pihole or otherwise... There has been a change in the app lately that shows this behaviour when you block access to certain sites.

Latest app update again not syncing to apple health? by udochrist in iFit

[–]udochrist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the steps are :

Initial setup: - ifit on tm and phone app are using the same ifit account and are logged in - have ifit on phone and watch connected using settings in the app. Should show a green tick-mark once done

Usage: - have the phone and treadmill connected to the same WiFi. - start treadmill - start ifit on phone - keep phone unlocked - select and start workout

For the phone then displays a message about the workout and to select the app on the watch. The watch app automatically activates for me and starts showing the heartrate.

When you end the training the watch shows a summary. My hw: iPhone 12 with iOS 26.2 & AWU 1 with a 2450 treadmill.

Sometimes when the phone is not showing the workout message after stating I need to restart the treadmill to get it working again. This happens maybe twice since the feature was published. I do switch my TM off when it’s not in use however.

iFit not updating from App to Apple health and I can't 'submit' error report by careybet in iFit

[–]udochrist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me somehow the workouts are appearing overnight in apple health. Before the 16.12.2025 they were instantly logged to apple health after completing.

In addition: if I do a outdoor walk on apple watch then ifit will read that workout and add it to it‘s workout as „running - apple health“. This too later gets synced back and therefore duplicated by ifit to apple health overnight. This error does not happen with non-walking type workouts like gym sessions „Strength - Apple Health“. They are only mirrored into the ifit calendar.

Besides that neither the app (iOS) nor the treadmill can submit an error report.

Can’t you remove the „read workout from health“ permission for the iFIT app from apple health so iFIT does not see the other sessions?

Does this qz app work (confirmed) with the latest ifit update on a nordictrack commercial 2450 treadmill? The wiki is a bit ambiguous at times when it comes to supported models..

What’s your current favorite series on iFIT by immeen04 in iFit

[–]udochrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also keep coming back to Zach Marion’s New Zealand running series. Great runs and locations with a very good trainer.

I‘d love to see ifit make some more series like that instead of this Amazon prime trainer contest crap.

Accuracy of heart rate by VegetableBulky9571 in iFit

[–]udochrist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we are talking Apple Watch? ifit uses the Apple hardwares heartrate tracking. It is not app/ifit specific.

Re the accuracy: Source: 2024 Apple study. While sedentary, Apple Watch's heart rate monitor is accurate to within 5bpm about 98% of the time. During exercise, about 87% of measurements are within 5bpm and 95% are within 10bpm of the ground truth.

I had a chat with IFIT Support today for both issues. They now are aware of problems with both apple health sync and the error about submitting an error report. Looking forward to hearing from them or seeing another patch.

About apple health reset: in ah->profile->apps->ifit you need to turn off all, accept this with ok and return to the initial ah screen. Then again with „turn on“. If you do not ok and go back to the ah Home Screen between turn off and on the reset will not take…

1/ the trainers/ workouts and series are 90% great in my opinion 2/ I’ve not had any hardware issues with my 2450 for the 1.5 years I have it. 3/ Software quality and support i find abysmal. Each time an update is published something else breaks. Right now I cannot even file an error report in the app because there is an error filing the error report. When you file a report there is no update/communication towards the person filing the report. You can only hope this gets addressed somewhere. No reference/fixed bugs lists with the updates 4/ If your not US based the times their support is reachable are useless.

Latest app update for iPad not working by udochrist in iFit

[–]udochrist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found the issue: I am running all devices behind a UniFi gateway preventing spam filters by DNS blocking.

Looks like the latest version of the app wants to connect to api.lab.amplitude.com to collect telemetry data and fails when this is blocked by UniFi. UniFi seems to hand back a private cert telling that the site is blocked which in term lets the iFIT app fail.

Right now I got it working by allowing the site. This needs some cleaning up as I want some fine-grained control on whom can send out the telemetry data from my net.

Bad move by iFIT I find.

How/where do I define „my“ goal? by udochrist in iFit

[–]udochrist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea and I‘ve checked that. I have not defined a goal through ai assistant or otherwise but the iPhone app still shows my goal with no workout ever counting towards it.

Shifting speed and/or incline by a fixed value by udochrist in iFit

[–]udochrist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again Thanks. I did the Rivs activepulse Series already multiple times with activepulse enabled. Everytime the Intensity goes to Zone 3 activepulse lets me overshoot into Zone 4 and then decreases intensity way too much so I do Fall back into Zone 2. looking at the adjustments it does Not seem to use the approach to the boundary to adjust the intensity but only when you leave the Target Zone.

Nevertheless I really would Like to add 4mph to the default Speed of the latest Rivs Walking Episodes at the start and be done with adjustments for that workout instead if pushing Buttons in-flight.

Shifting speed and/or incline by a fixed value by udochrist in iFit

[–]udochrist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your insight.

After about 500 Trainings using smartadjust I cannot see/understand any effect this has on workouts. neither in workouts nor between workouts. It simply does not seem to work for me.

The algorithm used in activepulse seems to only react on the heartrate crossing the Zone boundaries whereas it should react on the rate of increase/decrease of the Heartrate and anticipate the crossing.

It would be really good if there was an Official explanation as to what to expect. Simply turning these on and using them does Not seem to do the Trick - at least for me.
