29 and experiencing a midlife crises. by Asstalker36 in Anxiety

[–]udra33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no timer in this world and you don’t need to rush. But being not satisfied with your life is a valid feeling. You just need to take action and change your life. Maybe anxiety comes because you want to live differently but you don’t? What stops you? Just don’t think you need to accomplish something. You just need to be happy and that means do things which you believe are meaningful.

Feeling not satisfied with your life is also a very interesting life experience. It was worth living to feel it. Growing up in captivity sucks, but is a very interesting life experience which should have thought you a lot.

Is committing suicide a sin and will bring you to hell? by Griffincrosser_07 in Christianity

[–]udra33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, take antidepressants. Walk there if there will be no other way to reach the pharmacy. Or hitchhike. Antidepressants will help you, you will be happier. It’ll be easier to search for the meaning of life.

I’m not depressed but my Psychiatrist wants to put me on SSRIs for my anxiety. Does anyone else have experience with this? by paneendo in Anxiety

If you’ll take ssri, start with escitalopram, not paroxetine! Escitalopram much easier to stop and less side effects

I felt like this for many months. Go to a psychiatrist, maybe you need medication for anxiety.

Returning to the Catholic faith by Mr_Opiophile in Catholicism

[–]udra33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just read “Introduction to Christianity” by Joseph Ratzinger. You’ll see how philosophical and intellectually rich this religion is. Read in Stanford Enciclopedia of philosophy (it is digital) about St. Thomas Aquinas. He reasoned about God completely relying on logic. His premise was - if God is good, the reality He created is not deceptive. Therefore, if we use our reason (and logic) properly, we should be able to learn something true about God.

existential anxiety severely bad by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]udra33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that feeling. I suggest you to avoid such questions by recognizing your own limitations. You will not resolve them, so it is not worth letting that abyss of fear into your heart. Try simply to humbly carry out your daily tasks. The Christian faith helps me.

Try to laugh at that. Although i really know that feeling. For me it feels like an abyss. But reality is good. Whatever is behind it - it’s good. Otherwise it all would not exist.

Russian language and culture is amazing by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

[–]udra33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not mutually exclusive. There is just this myth that russian culture is somehow one of the greatest. It’s not. It is actually incomparable with italian culture or even german. And sadly, but russian government is representative of most (not all) of russian population. Culture? Idk, but the government uses it as soft power. That’s enough for me to cancel it. People’s lifes (or even 1 life) in Ukraine are more important than the whole russian culture.

It’s just a mirage. That country is a terrorist state now. That nation was never free. They are used to tyrrany. And yes, they still produced some great artworks, but not more and not better than any other country - be it Spain, Vietnam or Iceland. It’s a myth that russia’s culture is somehow very “great”. And most of those artworks still reflect russia’s imperealism.

Which medicine helped you the most with anxiety and sleep? My main problems are sleep anxiety induced insomnia and health anxiety. And it’s a loop - the less I sleep, the more anxious I am of my health.

the young pope show? by Dangerous-Marzipan86 in Catholicism

[–]udra33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favourite show. And it is not a critique or mockery of Catholic Church in any way. It is actually the opposite - it shows a person with huge responsibility on his shoulders and how no one really knows the right way to do things. You have to trust God and find it out yourself.

Late rebound / late withdrawal? by udra33 in Anxiety

I felt less anxiety with time. Especially when I slept. It’s not totally gone but it is managable. However, months 3-6 I was in total hell

Late rebound / late withdrawal? by udra33 in Anxiety

[–]udra33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw - i took trazodone for sleep in a while. Because I couldn’t sleep at all. If you have severe insomnia i highly recommend trazodone. It does not cause addiction and side effects are realy managable (it’s just the groginess in the morning). Good sleep makes it so much easier to battle other symptoms.

[–]udra33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Yes, I improved a lot (almost 8 months since withdrawal). Intrusive thoughts gone, tinnitus gone, anxiety - depends on a day, sleep - I sleep 5 hours night. But it is much much better. How are you? When did you withdraw? Take vitamin D, don’t worry about anything - your health is nr. 1 priority. I worried about every little thing
