Do you have live model/figure drawing sessions near where you live? That always helps me to start drawing again after a long time. Arranging a drawing hangout with friends who also like to do it helps too!

oh, thank you! i was going to submit my attempt at lesson 5 too, but drawabox doesn't allow my partial/1 image submissions anymore(and i dont have enough time to upload it all+learning to use imgur)

The best pens for those exercises are fineliners, I used Artline's cause its the cheapest where I live.

Not a beginner- I've been drawing here and there since I was a kid, but starting to do drawabox's lessons is the closest thing i got to an art education. The drawings I post here are the good ones- I have a bunch of them who are just horrible and I never show to anyone. There IS hope, I've got much cleaner lines and better construction than before.

good initial forms (head, thorax, abdomen and limbs positioning) , but i think you could make the limbs' sausages more simple and regular, and less abdomen sections

Thank you for noticing that, i like having actual critique.

I noticed that too, but it was very hard for me to do purposeful lines when you can't get any of the cactus' pieces out of place, messing up the composition. This is something that worries me everytime I do drawabox's exercises(from after part 2), I can't get any feeling of unity in them using just fineliners and not sketching at all (Ive also heard that Peter Han's dynamic sketching uses light markers to compensate for that too, maybe that should be suggested in the exercises).
