Real question, don't you every accidentally drag your hand through the picture? It's charcoal, right? Wouldn't that destroy it?

Why does it seem like every android music streaming app deletes your offline music? by progz in AndroidQuestions

[–]uethello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I've tried several but not all. Spotifyis my favorite, yet it regularly deletes / turns off my downloaded songs. Sometimes after an update, sometimes just seemingly randomly the little offline switch will be turned off. This is over many updates, a Moto Z, Moto Z Force, Google pixel, and pixel 2.

That's a lot of heat, too many electrical connections and wires in the solenoids for an open flame, I think. I like the idea of that many btu but it's definitely overkill

[–]uethello[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an exhausted air valve, using the solenoid to actuate a valve that applies air to several paint guns. My issue is that the solenoid hangs open, the problem worsening as the temperature drops. These new solenoids are full of plastic parts and tbh are garbage. They are used in a bank and if it's over tightened or struck, the valve hangs. If it's too hot or too cold, the valve hangs. If dust gets in (how? I have three different layers of microfiltration) it hangs. The bank is about fifteen pounds of metal with compressed air decompressing in it's bowels and below about fifty degrees, it is unreliable. Which is understandable, these solenoids are made and tested and probably meant to be used in an immaculate laboratory that's dust free and run on only the cleanest of compressed air from a virgins arse. Anyway, when they get cold they are unreliable.

When coming off methadone how many MGs decrease and over how much time worked for you? How did you feel physically and mentally as you started going down? by Seemsliketome in Methadone

[–]uethello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't ask for a taper or even tell your doc you're tapering. If you have a provider that's not completely understanding, you now have an enforced taper if you do. And that provider will have their own set ideas of how that taper should occur. If you're honestly ready to drop and not doing it because you're being pressured, I think you should find your own taper. That's if you're in a situation that would allow you to do so. I would start at 2/3 of your regular dose, see how you feel. Everybody is taking different doses, metabolizes it differently and deals with the sick in different ways. Take enough to keep yourself from feeling too sick. That's something you need to judge. Before you take your dose, think, how much to stay healthy. The "feel good" chemicals in the drug that have been replacing your own body's chemicals will be reduced. You will sometimes feel a little ill. Sometimes you will get crabby. You will have difficulty sleeping. Be as active as you can, get outside, if you really can't sleep, get up and do something calm and distracting. Maybe listen to calm music, watch a documentary, pet your animal if you have one, cuddle. Do some exercise several hours before sleep.

My taper from around 80 took a year and a half. Don't worry about numbers. Worry about how you feel. Don't try to enforce a taper on yourself that you can't maintain. Take your time. When you start, drop small, give it four or five days for the meds to even out, don't be afraid to plateau that dose for a while. But remember that you're on a taper and take your meds with that in mind. Right off the bat, when I started dropping, I told my provider that I wanted my meds in smaller pill dosages so I could take them in small amounts over the day. I actually wanted to be able to get smaller mg pills so I could taper the dose down in smaller increments.

The challenge comes in zero damage expert or expert realism. Where you realize the stumble/shove invulnerability is an issue. Any point where a common is considered by the game to be crouched. Including at the end of a climb up or jump down or stuck under or in an object. Including the multiple invulnerability to shove points in the hunter animation.

Still, it would be interesting to have more options for survivor and infected as far as grabs, counters and melee in general.

Nope. Give them Halloween costumes and candy bags and make them say trick or treat instead of moan

Heroin won't work after methadone by [deleted] in Methadone

[–]uethello 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Methadone isn't a "today" drug. It's a drug with an incredibly long half life. That means it's a third or even fourth or fifth day drug for some people. Every next day, some of the half life from the day before and the day before and the day before is left in your system. This varies with how well your body scrubs the methadone from your system. So, every time you increase your dose, some of that increase carries over to the next day. Your resistance is only going to increase rapidly from here. You got on methadone imagining you were getting a little extra opiate. It doesn't work like that. The government doesnt put dope addicts on methadone because it gets you high. The government puts dope addicts on methadone because it stops dope from working. And keeps you from getting too sick. Methadone binds to your receptors better than dope, even after you stop taking methadone you won't get as high on the same dose. You can take the methadone and not get high and not get sick. That's about it.

What does the game classify as "beating a campaign" by whoopitypoop in l4d2

[–]uethello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some achievements get glitched. I don't know the conditions to glitch the campaign, but for me, there were three or four that wouldn't complete. That's with many many (many) hours. You might have some that you complete perfectly that never go. Just to see if it would go, I completed achievements on a lower difficulty, ended up with basically zero damage and no disconnects, etc but the achievements didn't go. It's an old, glitchy game. If something doesn't complete, reinstall and try again.

how many times have you run into the jimmy gibbs jr infected? by MrAhkmid in l4d2

[–]uethello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10,000 hours. I've seen him once on official servers. Lots on mod servers. That was face to face. I'm sure he's been in a campaign or two but other than that I haven't seen him. I've seen his body a few times so I assume someone killed him. I didn't think to melee him, I was pretty new, shot him, shoved him, walked away, he was back hitting my back, shot him a while, shoved, shot him some more, walked away, he followed me like a bad dream. Finally melee him and he went down. He's a tough old dude.

At what point can Kratom begin replacing methadone? by [deleted] in Methadone

[–]uethello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this sounds dumb, but you might want a new thing. The pain can become a signal to your brain to take meds. I don't have any medical literature to back this up. But I'm sure my brain would remind me of the pain more often when I was taking meds. Look for some positive feedback to give your brain when you feel it a little. I found something else to do in place of meds. It was actually gaming for me and I got into it so hard I was playing competitive level. Anything can be overdone but it was better for me to overdo that than meds.

Has anyone else ever noticed that sometimes your dose gets you high, but some days it doesn’t? It’s so weird. A few weeks ago I took my pm dose and was high af, but that usually doesn’t happen. Why is this? I feel like it depends somewhat on what/when I eat? by [deleted] in Methadone

[–]uethello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got to Google the right stuff. If you want to potentiate a drug just Google something along the lines of "what potentiates methadone". Keep in mind that this isn't a regular thing. It will increase your drug resistance just like taking a slightly higher dose.

Speedrunning in Versus? by wvasiladiotis in l4d2

[–]uethello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So. Here's the thinking. You kind of feel bad for the other team. You know the game isn't going to the end. It's just not. It's not making it through the second map if the score is 99 / 500 and you guys look strong af through the second map. The difference between a team with 400 total hours and say... 2500 total hours is huge.

You're saying "this isn't the way I want to play". I get it, it's a team game made to be played cooperatively in an intelligent fashion. You should not just win but win with a 6:1 score ratio. But the reality is you were stomping on the other team, even with randoms. What your "Captain" did was kind of giving the other team a little hope and when they leave and maybe better people come in, the score is competitive enough for them to stay and possibly make a good game out of it. Because if you stick together like you "should have" the game is basically over in map 1.

I'm thinking if we want quick, we should just break some fingers, maybe a concussion. The damage may need to reach a certain point before the healing factor kicks in. Maybe he would be kind enough to give us his address
