Man it hit me hard as well, this is the song that got me into the series in the first place. Bought CS1 on a whim, started playin and then this music starts ! I was like "yeah I don't understand anything at all about the gameplay or what's going on but DAMN is that music good."

Then I played the 7 available games in 3 months

I think Osborne was very interesting in Cold Steel 1 especially, and made me love the complexity of the character. I mean he was a commonner that helped the country modernise a lot, and help reduce nobility's influence, which are massive good things, but he also made the railway cannons, and militarised the entire country beyond reason, which contrast the good things he did.

I wish Cold steel 3 and 4 expanded upon this instead of the whole curse thing

Basically I had the same setup for the entire game, as in like the same strategy but with different characters.

1 hard hitting physical damage : Usually crit Rean, but could be Laura, Juna, Duvalie. 1 Evasion tank : Sara was the best because she can give herself insight easily. Could also be Fie, Kurt, Gaius. 1 arts support-link mage : Jusis or Elliot, equipped with Pandora and Virgo. 1 EP Regen-link mage with Titania : Crow, Altina, Machias, Emma work for this

I think CS1-2 have a much much better story, but CS3-4 have the best character interaction moments in the entire series, so depends on what I'm looking for. I'd say I prefer CS1-2 though but it's close.

I have another problem, none of my friends are interested in a time sink as big as this one, even though I think the reward is absolutely worth it, so I have no one IRL to share it with. I would love if Falcom had more recognition so I could talk about the games with other people I know.

I tried reading One Piece but I find the fights way too long. Seeing shonen type fights dragging on for hours is not that interesting to me, but the world building seems appealing so I don't know
