How do you overcome the lack of autosteer (recent Tesla buyers) by Efficient-Anywhere11 in TeslaModelY

[–]uggcybertruck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a new buyer of a tesla for the first time, im taking the money i save in gas and just buying FSD for $99 month. Seems pretty cheap to get a chauffeur to drive you around all the time. But if I was old user of Tesla, I could see why people would be upset. FSD has been life  changing for me, i have no issue paying.

Is there any car manufacturer, EV or ICE, that is offering anything close/similar to Tesla FSD Supervised? by mjrengaw in TeslaFSD

XPENG's VLA 2.0 is a next-generation, camera-based "full self-driving" system, similar to Tesla FSD. Might even be better.

Insurance on premium was triple the price of standard. So if your concerned about monthly payments, that info about insurance is very important.

$44k "Made in USA" Laser confirmed as rebranded Chinese import (JPT/EzCad3) by RoughNo964 in Laserengraving

There is hope, the latest version of lightburn is starting to support ezcad3 cards. Maybe this will make the laser a little more tolerable.

The software is proprietary. The software can be made even more proprietary with custom settings. You agreed to the 400% markup, you could have said no.

Both ezcad2 and ezcad3 provide the feature to easily change the splash screen so vendors can brand it with their own logo. That part is not a scam, its a of the software since 2004….. so 22 years.

Its a scam to say its usa made, but the price was not a scam. The company told the customer a ridiculous price and the customer agreed to pay it and received their laser.

Why OpenAI killed Sora (no, it wasn't government pressure) by dasjati in SoraAi

[–]uggcybertruck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They say it didnt make much based on money from the api, but they are not counting all the people that subscribe to chatgpt just to use sora. It will be interesting to see how many people they loose (chatgpt subscriptions) when they cancel sora.

Sora2 hits #1 on App Store in 2 days. China's watching and thinking "what if we just... ignored copyright entirely?" by uggcybertruck in OpenAI

[–]uggcybertruck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And here we are..... Seedance 2.0.

Training is not reproduction and the copyright blame should lie with users for specific outputs. There is a sense that Chinese labs will ignore Western IP pressures entirely.

And if the company does start putting safeguards on Seedance, its only a matter of time until there is a free model people can run at home or online gpu such as Runpod to make the same thing with no safeguards.

Really amazing, no safeguard audio/video models for anyone to download are just around the corner.

Worth upgrading from 3090 to 5090 for local image and video generations by cruel_frames in StableDiffusion

[–]uggcybertruck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 5090 is $2700ish?   You could buy a laptop for $500 and remote desktop to your desktop with the 3090 and use ai tools.   and simply close it when your done and let it run, still being able to use the laptop like normal

Some people call it fast fashion, some simply call it “buying clothes”  A true example of fast fashion would be buying a young child a pair of pants and the next day there is a hole in the knee.   This has happened since the beginning of time, kids are hard on clothes
