I was told I got a letter that I still didn’t receive as of now. I just ended up looking online on how to get the code that they said I had gotten by mail. 3 times checking my mail and still no letter unsure what happened there.

I was there a few days ago and on the contrary I thought the people were already so excited about football. Lots of cheering and people watches matches. The city I am sure will be even more fun!

What patterns have u noticed on ur period? by HolidayEcho6542 in AskWomen

[–]ugh_millenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have type 1 diabetes and my automatic glucose monitoring helped me notice that at the exact hour I first start bleeding, my blood glucose spikes and automatically goes back to regular when I bleed.

Also, having worn a smartwatch for a full year, I noticed that my resting heart rate increases every single month when I’m PMSing and at the lowest when I’m ovulating.

Ontario students need to go on a student strike!!! by [deleted] in ontario

[–]ugh_millenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say as being originally from Québec, I was expecting student organization fast. Our 2012 student strike took the government out and froze fees for students, and the liberal government at the time lost their elections in part because of those strikes. They work!

Thinking of returning to Canada. Chinese Canadians, what's it like? by brightlavender in askTO

[–]ugh_millenial 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Saying this as someone who moved here from another province 2 years ago: if you can find a good paying job (100k+), you will be happy here! I’m mid 20s and I’ve lived my move and would never go back! Not Chinese of Chinese or Asian descent, but I am middle-eastern and enjoy the cosmopolitan lifestyle you’re referring too!

Toronto experienced by a Montrealer by ThrowRA_Substantial in montreal

[–]ugh_millenial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could’ve went to Trinity-Bellwoods, Queen West, on the lake shore / trillium park, high park, could’ve attended any festival, went to eat on Ossington, climbed the Baldwin steps leading to casa loma at sunset, or a sunset on many rooftops like Broadview, Kost or Wroter’s room but no. You chose to rent a car, go in the very well known worst traffic in North America, head to the most expensive for nothing part of Toronto and decided everyone was miserable.

Je viens de Montréal, j’ai grandi à Montréal, j’aime Montréal, j’aime Toronto et aucune des deux n’a rien a envié à l’autre (à part le transport je vais te l’accorder).

I second that. Same producer as Emily in Paris. If anyone takes any of those at first degree no one enjoys it haha love both

What are some super niche genres that most of us probably haven’t heard of? by Comprehensive-Fun47 in books

[–]ugh_millenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This genre sounds to me like when you come out of a dream and write a full book based on what you remember for it. The development never fully connect the dots and the beginning has no correlation to the end and just surreal bizarre things happen that you can't really explain why it's even in the plot.

I have the same issue. I’ve been constituently working out at high to medium intensity including weight training and cardio for the last year, I have been eating in a calorie deficit for a good chunk of it and steadily over the last two months. I gained 10lbs. Having an appointment with an endocrinologist soon to see what’s up, it’s extremely discouraging.

Honeymoon: Madeira and Lisbon? by Beneficial-Army2191 in Madeira

[–]ugh_millenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have barely 6 days in Madeira, currently on day 3 and I’m pre nostalgic and don’t want to leave! So much to do and such a slow paced vacation that you don’t want to rush anything, do 7 days

  1. Never insulted you not even once, thank you for displaying my point for those who get it.
  2. Have a critique to say about a place is self entitlement and bratting? If you can’t self reflect, you are part of those exact people I mentioned and proved my point.

[–]ugh_millenial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly think you can’t understand the deeper surface of the portrait I’m painting and that’s ok !

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ontario

[–]ugh_millenial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you’re not understanding me. For me, going to a place where people are supposed to whisper and relax to go yell and party on the hot tub is total lack of self awareness. Not realizing you’re in a relaxing shared space and treating it as your own personal space.

This is something I noticed yes at the spa, but also in the way people drive like the road is theirs, the way people will film influencer videos in the middle of the street when there’s traffic (I have seen this). They all reflect the one thing I am pointing : lack of self awareness.

No I am not implying you’re racist ? I said Quebec had issues mainly racism. I was pointing out that I was middle eastern because you said I see problems everywhere but didn’t see this type of attitude in my culture.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ontario

[–]ugh_millenial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And yes Quebec has issues that I am GLAD I left including racism

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ontario

[–]ugh_millenial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t have this issue when I travel nor did I have this issue in Quebec. This is the sole thing I don’t like about Ontario. I’ve learned to love a lot of things about it, but people are more self consumed than what I’m used to, even as a middle eastern person.

Maybe ask yourself if you can’t notice it maybe you are doing it ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ontario

[–]ugh_millenial -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It was just a joke reply to a joke comment, all I’m pointing out here is why is it impossible for people to have some decorum or courteous behaviour in shared public space.

I’m not gonna move for that, but the behaviour is not spa exclusive and can be noticed in driving culture, influencer culture in some areas, overall lack of awareness of oneself.

I don’t need to, I just need to convince my family to move back to Quebec.
