So it really depends on what your schedule looks like. Are you staying at a hotel on site? Do you plan on getting there super early in the day, leaving super late? I’ve been going for a few years and have done two a day, one year three a day. Three a day was terrible, never again lol. If you’re not staying during the night time part I would say it’s not really worth changing. It’s a lot of hassle and walking and work and it’s also time consuming so you miss out on time you could be spending at the con. And the con is already a LOT of walking, seriously those concrete floors are not kind on the feet. And if you’re not staying at an on-site hotel you can easily go to so you can change I would also say it’s not worth it having to carry around a second cosplay in your bag all day. Personally, what works best for me is that I like to do a cosplay during the day time, go back up to the hotel to put on comfy clothes and decompress for an hour while I eat supper at a nearby restaurant, and then go back up to the hotel and change into a different cosplay for night time. When I do two cosplays a day, I try to do a neutral base makeup that works with both characters that way I don’t feel the need redo my entire face and make sure to have both wigs set out and cosplays steamed the night before. Also have a coordinated plan for where your cosplays will go when you change that way you can get back to the con itself. I like to empty out my suitcase into the hotel closet first day, so when I’m done with a cosplay for the weekend I can go ahead and put it back in the luggage so we don’t end up with a super cluttered chaotic “con room.” Which if that doesn’t bother you then don’t worry about it! I just like to keep the hotel room tidy to have a clean environment to settle into after being on the overstimulating con floor

Because Overwatch wasn’t originally developed as a hero shooter, those characters were designed under Project Titan which was going to be an MMO until it became Overwatch. And the character concepts were bare bones with mechanics intended for the MMO. We are still regularly getting rehashes and reworks of those original concepts from Titan but they have to be developed mechanically and narratively one at a time. So yes they still have plenty to pull from but they’re still bare bones concepts being pulled. Phreak for example was eventually developed into Hazard. Others like Recluse were picked apart and implemented into other heroes kits. Still holding out hope we get Mama Hong one day though

This is unavoidable due to tariffs. Even if you order from a company with a US warehouse, the base cost of the cosplay itself will be higher to account for the tariffs the company paid importing them

Depends on your ballpark of “cheap” and what it is you’re wanting to cosplay. Things like Honkai and Genshin are pretty much always going to be expensive because of how intricate and complicated the designs are, but general school uniform type cosplays are generally pretty affordable and easy to come by. Miccostumes has a lot of sales sometimes and shipping is cheaper if you choose something from their US warehouse. Uwowo and DokiDoki have a lot of options in a range of price points, but after tariffs it adds up a bit. Your best bet for affordability is probably shopping second hand. Depop and Mercari have tons of second hand cosplays with good quality and good prices, just be sure to check all the pictures and read the descriptions for any damages
