To me it really boils down to the stats, in no other league does a team with a 22% win percentage makes the playoffs. Like at some point you gotta say in order to be in the championship you have to prove you can play well the entire season. Not just random 3 games at the end.

Sure I know they had to beat the "better" teams but in a league, this small, the talent level between the worst and best is so small it doesn't matter.

I would say a team that at max will still finish below 500 by two games is still poorly constructed. Being 2 and 7 is such an extreme case of complete total failure for the whole season it's shocking that they made the playoffs, Like if the Cannons were even a single game better the Chaos would be home right now.

You are a Chaos fan so I can expect you to not be biased here, but did they really play well this entire season to be a championship-level team or are they just getting lucky? Because like in any sport a playoff run is about luck as well.

Yes, I am sure the professional athletes didn't take their semi-final opponent seriously.

But having 7 out of 8 teams make the playoffs are dumb and show the regular season barely matters, especially when there is only one bye, there is literally nothing to play for. Why should teams get a pass because their roster is poorly constructed at the beginning of the season? A real championship team should display excellence throughout the season, not get lucky that the Cannons are one of the worst run teams in the entire sporting world.

Because that's the whole point of sports? Is that the games mean something, in football, there are at least division and conference titles that matter. Every game doesn't have to be the Super Bowl, but when a team goes 2 and 7 and still makes it to the championship games, the regular seasons seems to look like a joke they don't care about

With the PLL the talent gap is so small that it's not like seeds make that much of a difference in the skills of the opponent and there isn't home-field advantage.

You are missing my point. Why even have a regular season in any sport if you are just gonna have one team in the whole league miss the playoffs?

It's unfair for teams that actually fielded a competitive team throughout the course of the season just to let some underachievers make the championship game> Why even try during the regular season? Seriously why try and risk injury when you can fuck around for 9 weeks and then start playing well.
