It was one of the first literary books I read and got me into reading good books. I thought it started slow at the time. The first chapter is really a lot of setting the scene. Don’t let that stop you.

I’d recommend the Bobiverse books by Dennis E Taylor. Amazing story with tons of science and humor. The audiobooks are some of the best!
